The contractor came out on time and inspect the unit by opening it up; since I had recorded the noise, he immediately knew what the problem was. We checked with the owner of the unit for her approval, he had the parts in his van easily accessible and the repair was done in an expedient manner. He left the space clean afterwards. He definitely knew his trade well! His name is Kenny and he happened to be the Field Manager, so I got the best man on the job!

Unfortunately, my A/C unit stopped working and I called Accurate Air Conditioning and Appliance Inc. and was informed that a technician would be at my home at with several hours to assess my problem. At approximately 1100 hours promptly, a technician Ernesto arrived at my home and within 10 minutes determined that my capacitor and hard start capacitor needed to be replaced. Ernesto was professional, courteous and extremely competent as he
thoroughly explained the problem and corrective action to me. He informed me that it would cost $350.00 dollars to complete the repairs and that he would be finished within 15 minutes. Luckily, I decided to Google the prices of the
parts, only to discover that the two parts cost a total of $26.00. I informed the technician that at the costs of the parts that essentially I would be paying $324.00 for his diagnosis and 25 minutes of his time. He informed me
that the prices were determined by the company and that I could call and see if the company would modify the price in light of the simplicity of the problem and the parts price. I called Accurate Air Conditioning and Appliance Inc. and spoke with Dana, and informed Dana of the issue. Dana informed me that her company had to factor in the cost of gas, Ernesto's (technician) electrical training, insurance and the fact that they keep the parts stocked on their trucks into their final prices. I stated to Dana the costs of the parts and the time needed to complete the repairs was simply not commensurate with their price. Dana informed that she could give me a $50.00 discount. Needless to say, I declined their services. Despite all, the Technician Ernesto was outstanding and Dana was very courteous, but for me their prices are just too high.
I called another local company and without mentioning the nature of the problems, their diagnosis was the same, they completed the work in fifteen minutes and charged $100.00. The house is cool again.

On August 22nd at about 10pm, my a/c stopped working.   The next morning, I called A Accurate Air Conditioning and Appliance, Inc. and spoke to Kenny Duncan.  Kenny told me he would be at my house later that morning.  He arrived about an hour later.  After inspecting the a/c, Kenny explained to me what was wrong and what the cost to repair the a/c would be.  Within an hour, Kenny had the a/c running again.   Over the years, I have found all of the employees of A Accurate to be professional, courteous and dependable.  I am extremely satisfied with A Accurate and will continue to use them in the future for any of my a/c or appliance needs.  I highly recommend  them.

On Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, my washer broke. I called a few companies to see if anyone had a reasonable service fee for emergency or holiday calls. After a few calls, I knew I would have to wait until Tuesday. A Accurate had a reasonable regular hours service fee $39. The person who answered the phone was pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. I told her I needed a late appointment Tuesday. She said it would be between 4 & 6pm and she'd request as close to 6 as possible. Tuesday arrived, Joshua the repairman called me at 12:45pm to say he was in my area and wanted to know if I wanted him earlier. I told him it would have to be late. He was totally pleasant and said to just stay in touch. I called him at 5:30. Joshua drove to my home. He arrived on time, came prepared, listened to my description of what occurred, and listened to my machine. Immediately Joshua told me what was wrong. He described what he needed to do, said he had the parts with him, and gave me the estimate. We agreed on the price and he proceeded. He called me out to the laundry room so he could demonstrate that the repair worked. I am very happy I chose A Accurate. Their rating on Angie's List wasn't very good but I took a chance on them based on my great phone conversations starting with Sunday. I couldn't be happier. Joshua is a great representative of the company. His personal presentation was great i.e. clean cut, friendly, accommodating, professional in every way! Before leaving, Joshua explained the many services A Accurate can handle. I would definitely use A Accurate again!

Prompt. Work fine. Tech polite and helpful. The price was  too high (in my opinion). 15 minute day time weekday call. Charged me $175 (first asked for $189). Although the work was good, the part, as listed on the manufacturer's site, was $16.96. I think that paying them $175 for a 15 minute service job that utilized a $16.96 thermal fuse was excessive.

They come to your house and then quoted outrageous prices (double retail) and labor rates ($110 per hour) and if you don't do the work they charge $39.95 just for diagnosis.  I looked up the part online and it was $43.99, $60.00 retail.  They quoted $120 for the part and 1 hour labor @ $110, which I negotiated to $80 before I even called the owner.  The tech did agree to labor of $80 per hour.  It only took 25 minutes so the real labor rate was $192 per hour for the time spent.   The owner called the tech and told him to remove the part and leave.  I told him not to touch my refrigerator and the owner threatened to call the police.  The police arrived and the tech and I told the officer the job was done and paid for and there was no problem.  He left, the tech packed his things and left after I paid him the quoted price of $200.

"Let me start by saying we tell every caller it is 39.95 or repair during 8-5, Monday -Saturday. The 39.95 is for diagnostic. Our technician did this and the customer agreed to the repair fee that was quoted,instead of passing and just paying the 39.95. Nobody is bound to have the repair done. I am very sorry he is upset with the price however if you need to break it down there is alot more involved than just the part and 1 hour. What about the schooling it takes for the technician to be able to diagnose this issue and the insurance he carry's along with the gas it takes for him to re-stock his truck (we do not charge a trip charge) the warranty( of no part or labor charge ) all these are figured into the quote.Not just the part and 1 hour.Again I am very sorry he was up set with the service he received,however he could of passed and gotten another quote from another company."
