On a Friday I discovered my central ac/heat pump compressor was running but no air was circulating. The air handler had power going to it but would not run. I called Johnny Cool and explained the problem. I figured since it was mid day Friday, they would send someone out Monday or Tuesday. Nope, literally 42 minutes later, Technician Steve arrived. He was professional, courteous and quickly diagnosed the problem as a faulty capacitor. He had a new capacitor in his truck. Steve replaced it and had the unit running within minutes all for a reasonable price. This is the second time I have had to call Johnny Cool. Both times I received prompt excellent service. I highly recommend them!

Our technician was Steve P.  He was on time, did not try to sell me something I did not need and had me up and running with cold A/C again within about 15 minutes.  He asked if there was anything else he could provide for us and was very friendly and pleasant.  We had dread this was going to be expensive as the unit is approaching 10 years old but he was right on with his diagnosis and fixed the problem quickly!  In addition to Angie's List they came recommended from a frend and I will certainly call on them again if we need them.  Top notch and ON TIME!

I have used Johnny Cool in the past and have been impressed with the professionalism and quality of work. One morning I came home to half my power being out including my AC from a bad lighting storm. I called Johnny Cool and the owner himself came out within an hour to fix it. With other companies I felt pressured into buying a new unit, or expensive parts. I have never felt pressured with his company, and have always had extremely resonable prices. The problem was fixed quickly, he was very honest, upfront, goodlooking, sincere, and knowledable. I plan on using them again when I need a new one installed.

Johnny Cool AC installed our air conditioners before we bought our house. Right after we closed on the house, the lower level ac unit
froze. Since Johnny Cool installed the ac units, we called them out. Johnny came out to check on the unit, and informed us that the technicians didn't fill the coolant due to the electricity being shut off. A few weeks later, the upstairs ac unit quit cooling properly, so again we called Johnny out. He replaced a switch on the unit and all was good for a month or so. After Johnny replaced the switch, a month or two later, the upstairs air handler froze up on us, so we had them come out again. This time they said the coils in the air handler had a leak, and it needed to be replaced. They added coolant and we scheduled a time for them to replace it. They came out and replace the coils on Tuesday. After they left, I noticed that the upstairs ac unit ran constantly for about 2 hours and wasn't cooling. I called the office and Johnny came out the next day. He informed me that the technicians ran out of coolant, and didn't fill the unit all the way (again).  All was good with the unit till Saturday.  We noticed water leaking from the air handler.  After further inspection from my husband, he noticed that the pipe they used for the drain was broken and wasn't draining the water outside, it was draining into the vent and onto our hardwood floors.  We called the office and left a message, but did not receive a call back.  I found the office managers cell phone number and we left a message with her.  We did not hear from them that weekend. My husband had to fix the pipe himself (luckily he's pretty handy).
So overall, the employees were friendly, but friendliness won't make up for the lack of quality of work.  Two times the company left our ac units without enough coolant and never informed us or came back to finish their job until we had to call them.  The pipe they used broke and caused the air handler to leak onto our wood floors, and they didn't return our call on the weekend.  Due to these reasons, we will not be using Johnny Cool AC again.

"im sorry that [member name removed] had a bad experience but the reality is that we did not install that originally. We just put condensers back that the realtor had put in the garage so they would not get stolen. johnny cool was never informed when the meter was set to come back and check the refrigerant charge. the drain came apart because the company that installed it did not glue it properly according to [member name removed] when i spoke to him on that Monday. They did not receive a call back because they left a message on a cell phone of person that was on vacation. I am not perfect nor are my employees but we are honest. I do understand how it looks from [member name removed] point of view but feel that a D is a little harsh do to the fact that another company did not install a drain line properly but everybody is entitled to their opinion im just glad to know my guys did not do anything dishonest."

After several estimates I chose John because he was very professional and seemed honest, sincere and reliable.  I purchased a 3 ton, 16 SEER variable speed Bryant air conditioner which they installed in a matter of days, on schedule.  The night of the install I noticed that the air didn't seem to be as cool as I thought it should.  I called them the next morning and they were back in just a couple hours.  Turned out it was just an issue with the thermostat which was fixed immediately.  Everything works perfectly since and it has saved me over $100 a month on my power bill.

Great company, definitely will reccommend!

A couple of years ago I had a different contractor come service my system. He pressued me to buy a lot of services from him (I guess he had a sales quota?). I found Johnny Cool to be a straight shooter and did the job well.
