Barry's Door Installation

He was very professional and his quality of work was outstanding. I would highly recommend Barry to anyone and we are in the process of rehiring him again for another door. Awesome work!

Everything was done to make the door operable in the right way. Previously hung by someone else and totally messed up. Almost all of the errors from the first installation were corrected.

Barry did a great job with our door, despite the poor service from Lowe's where I purchased the door. It took him three tries to get the right door: the first time, the custom-ordered door came in with the wrong measurement, despite Barry's having given the Lowe's clerk the correct numbers; the second time, the door arrived with built-in mini-blinds (rather than the cellular shade I ordered); finally, the third time, the correct door arrived, with proper measurements and correct shade. These problems are directly attibutable to Lowe's - I discovered that the two people who worked on my order "no longer work here." Lowe's definitely needs a double-check system to minimize human error. Getting my door installed took 3-1/2 months, not the 6-8 weeks which Lowe's predicted. Barry was extremely professional in the face of all of this, including wasted trips on his part. He was kind and patient as he taught me about doors and locks, including how to re-set my new locks with instant-key-change feature. He was well-organized and neat with his work. I feel that I got my money's worth from Barry as a professional, but I regret my involvement with Lowe's. In retrospect, I am not sure about why I forgot about Angies List and I fell into a major transaction with a Big Box Store, when I could have had a much better experience with a well-recommended craftsman from Angies' List. In particular, I would recommend Barry and his firm to anyone who needs his services. His wife runs the appointments and does a fine job of communication.

Barry was punctual, professional and knowledgeable. On site estimate provided on a Wednesday, estimate accepted same day and job scheduled for the following Saturday 8 AM. He was at our "old door" at 7:56 AM and the job was complete and work site cleaned up by 4:45 PM. Barry is very experienced and efficient in his work. He worked every minute he was here. We would hire him again and highly recommend him to our friends and family.
