With 14 years of experience in the roofing industry, leak repair is his chosen specialty as it is the most misunderstood aspect of the trade. He is committed to excellence in his field and always has the customers best interest in mind. With a belief that each individual client's situation is unique, he strives to find a solution to the problem that will be a good fit for each client. Very dissatisfied with Over the Top Roof Repair’s workmanship, quality, and customer service. After hiring this company for 7 repairs over the past year, we’ve had multiple leaks, discovered shortcuts were taken, and experienced very sloppy workmanship. We will hire another contractor to clean up after them. Several items with deficiencies include: - Sloppy mortar application with the wrong color - Failing to install bird stops in places not visible from the ground - Re-used broken pieces of mortar and bird stops instead of constructing new - Weep holes constructed with diameters only ¼ inch vs ¾ on the rest of the roof - Tile was set in a manner that didn’t accommodate the amount of water in a high flow area of the roof. This along with the insufficient weep-hole diameters and leftover roof construction debris from Over the Top’s other roof repairs created a dam causing water to back up and over the flashing leaving us with water and mold inside the wall. We previously recommended Over the Top Roof Repair to several friends and neighbors. After all of the issues we’ve had and how difficult it has been when something goes wrong, we can no longer recommend them.

"We are sorry that you're last experience with us left you dissatisfied. Mortar pieces are commonly reused when possible to provide the best color match, and bird stop pieces are commonly left out to facilitate the flow of water. both of these practices are inline with current standards for repair. We are confident that when your roof is pressure cleaned, that the color match on the new mortar application will improve, and as it weathers moving forward the appearance will also improve. perfect matches unfortunately are impossible due to many factors outside of our control. most current specifications call for metal eave closure as opposed to mortar as weep hole size consistency is virtually impossible to maintain and is problematic hence the practice of leaving the bird stops out to allow for better water flow. While you feel further leakage at one repair area was due to our tile install, we simply re installed the tile as per original installation and rising water levels during a high volume event are outside of our control. We did offer to water test the particular area in question with you to be sure our previous repair area was functioning and to discover the root cause of the leak, but you did not accept our offer and decided to attempt to resolve the issue on your own without our help or the help of another contractor. The construction debris we left amounted to a couple loose nails and the tip of caulk tube. While we are sorry we missed these items during cleanup, it is virtually impossible to avoid as work is done on a slope and loose materials roll downhill under the tiles. it is doubtful this contributed to continued leakage in a meaningful way. We have been very responsive to you during all of our business dealings over the last year, however an increase of scope is needed to solve the further leakage you are experiencing. We will be sure to take the lessons learned from our experience with you and carry them with us to continue to provide the high level of service that we are known for."

Charlie has looked at my roof several times before Hurricane Season, so it would be affirmed that the roof was in good shape in case of a leak. When the "time came", he took a minute and showed me the problems now arising and where the leaks would occur. The flat roof has been replaced and one less major fear. for the hurricane season. He was reasonable, kind, and took time explaining the additional expenses on using an insulation roof material vs just the normal material. Thanks to Charlie's investigating the amount of additional money it would cost for a 2-degree temperature difference was going to be a waste of valuable money. Thank you, Charlie and crew. Having his crew at and in my home gave me a safe and secure feeling! Which is now detrimental in today's times.

Charlie is very honest and a pleasure to work with. He showed up for the estimate, and gave a realistic repair estimate He finished on budget, ahead of schedule and documented the repair. I had been on the roof to assess the damage but wanted a professional to give it a real repair. It was a small job, but he is my go to company for any roof related projects going forward. THE most responsive and honest roofer EVER. Came out to give a quote, heavy workload created a 30 day lag between quote and actual repair, but he told us that when he gave us the quote so we could make an informed decision. Scheduled the work within the estimated time, completed all the work, cleaned up and left all in two days. Work was perfect and he even closely color matched 12 year old shingles making it hard to tell any work was done. Great guy, reasonable price and amazing work ethic.

Charlie with Over the Top Roof Repair is highly recommended! We were in the process of buying a new home and wanted to have the roof checked out back in October. I contacted Over the Top thru Angie's List, saw they had great reviews and were local. Charlie returned my call quickly and came out to check out the roof. Turns out we needed 2 minor repairs and a re roof on a detached workshop. We bought the home and had Charlie complete the 2 minor repairs right away. He did great work, was on time, cleaned up after himself and was very affordable. We ended up just recently completing the re roof on the detached workshop ( had to save up some money) but again he was honest, affordable, on time, very communicative during the entire process of obtaining permits and keeping us in the loop, he did excellent work and cleaned up after himself. It was nice to do business with a small company who really takes pride in their work. I highly recommend Charlie with Over the Top Roof Repair, you will not be disappointed.

Charlie is a rare find in today's world. He is professional, prompt and so good at what he does. I manage a condominium association and it is hard to find dependable contractors who are true professionals. We had various roof leaks, and if you've had to deal with leaks, you know they are hard to pinpoint and Charlie always finds the source. I've never had to call him back for repeat repairs. I highly recommend him.

Without question, we are ever so happy we found this company to do our roof repair work. We live in a Divosta Capri II home with ceramic tile roofing. Amazing! I called a couple companies for quotes, and Charlie was the only one to get back to me right away. He always called and showed up exactly when he said he would. It was a pleasure doing business with this company. Charlie was prompt with his response for an estimate and very fair with his pricing. He was realistic with the timeframe when he could start the project and did the project thoroughly. They cut away all the bad wood, found the problem, fixed the problem so it doesn't reoccur, installed new flashing, shingles, and wood. They then painted it until you couldn't tell where the problem was except for the new paint agains the rest of the eaves. His crew was professional, kind, and courteous. One of the few companies we've dealt with that under promised and over delivered. He was fair in pricing and expert in his repair work. Great doing business with his company!

It took him three days to tear out the old deck and put the new one on, paint, etc., and it looks amazing! He was neat and cleaned up everything. We had originally contacted another roofing company but they never followed up on doing the work. The repair they had stated would have only been to reseal the edge of the border of the patio roof that was up against the soffit of our home. Being a former roofer when I was younger I thought there should have been a flashing added to the repair, but that individual stated that wasn't needed. When Charlie came to our house and surveyed the roof he stated right away the roof needed a flashing along with a resealing. I was very happy to hear this, because I then knew then the roof would be repaired the correct way. Charlie did the work himself , and we are happy with the repair, and thought the price was fair for the work he had done and his knowledge about repairing leaking roofs.
