Before moving into my new home it was clear that the existing wooden stair railing with spindles had to go. We wanted to turn up the elegant factor of the living space a bit. I searched the internet for local ironworks places and got rough quotes over the phone for designs I saw on their website. I needed approx. 30 ft. worth of railing and some of the quotes I received were astromonical! Upon speaking to Maria from Westside Iron I was finally assured that I was going to get my wrought iron railing. Her prices were so much lower than some of the ridiculous quotes I had received. She gave me the name of a client who was about to have installed the same design I was looking at. This man raved about the care and attention he was receiving from Westside Iron. Needless to say, I decided to use their services. I was told a turnaround time of only 3 weeks (instead of 8 weeks for some). Meanwhile, I found a gorgeous design on the internet that I asked if they could copy (with some modifications). This was no problem for them as the head ironworks man who made the railing is a true artist. Everything went according to plan and there was much attention to detail. I went 2 times to their atelier to survey the progress - making sure the thickness of the iron was how Iiked and the check the design. Perfect! This beautiful railing is the absolute highlight of my home. You cannot go wrong! It was a pleasure working with Maria who is the owner and used to be an employee there for many years some time ago. I plan on installing an outside fence and will not think twice about calling upon them.
