I called early in the morning, the dispatcher said she would have someone there in an hour. The rep. arrived promptly was very polite, focused, and professional. The unit was no longer making the loud screeching as it had the night before and he patiently gave it time to heat up and perhaps repeat its behavior. He suggested that the evaporator fan bearings may be causing the sound but that they did not look like it needed replacement. He oiled the fan motor and replaced the capacitor to the fan. He seemed experienced and knowledgeable. Three days later the noise has not come back and the unit seems OK.
