ISLAND FENCE OF FLORIDA

The two men who put up the fence did an excellent job, but spoke NO English. This makes it hard when you want to ask about something. Of course the office staff spoke perfect English. I feel if you work in this country you should at least have passable English. Sad for the company, the workers and the Country!

AKA Island Fence of Miami Dade. So many headaches with this company. I do NOT recommend this company at all. May be okay to buy parts from and pickup but the installation was dragged out for over a year. Signed papers Sept 2014. Permit was denied four times causing delays and the company never notified me. Part was chain link fence. I provided property plans and exactly where posts should go. Two posts were installed two inches exceeding the property line into neighboring property. Mark actually asked if I really wanted the posts moved; said it is only a couple of inches. I said they had to be moved. They were relocated satisfactorily. Mark, sales, can be nice and gives lip-service but was terrible at follow-through on many other issues. Ralph tried to assist as best he could. Elias, installer, did so-so work but did not pay attention to many details; had to be return numerous times; also was out of actions for weeks at a time. Cutter/welder person made all of the ornamental aluminum fence panels two inches too tall. Half of the panels had to be uninstalled; all had to be taken back, cut shorter, re-welded, and painted again. Spacing for the three gates was too wide for the self-closing hinges. Gates were taken back and extended. Then the gates were too wide to be installed. Finally cut the correct size. One gate still binds and does not shut properly. Am sure there were other issues not coming to mind. They did comp a short section and side gate but overall the whole project was very disappointing. After reaching out to the staff uncountable times I stopped trying Jan 2014 to contact them to fix the last remaining gate problem. I have never experienced such incompetence. Nice people to talk to and I guess they tried but unsuccessfully with us. Family owned and run with some serious communication and performance issues.

It went good.  They are really professional, punctual, provide great customer service, and reasonably priced.

Company provided decent price estimate but did not present accurate info on experience getting permits. I had to apply for permit from South Florida Water Management District (which ended up being denied). Island Fence turned up to do work without providing advance notice. Island Fence failed to advise need for bottom tension wire which I had to request to be added afterward. Island Fence failed to get all needed inspections from Village of Pinecrest (forgot about needing a zoning inspection in addition to building inspection). I left numerous phone messages regarding problems with permits; no one, including owner Evelyn Pascal, would return phone messages over a period of 60 days. I finally had to apply to Village of Pinecrest and arrange for inspections myself. Firm has no concept of what customer service means. Would strongly suggest finding another fence company to use.

I complained, and they sent a crew to remove the boards. During the removal, they damaged the hose connection on the exterior of my house, propped it up with a broken piece of fence board and left, resulting in a major flood and much interior damage to the walls, furniture, floors, electric. Then they denied that they were responsible, even when shown before and after photos. They have been unresponsive to my calls and those of my attorney and insurance company. They left piles of nail-studded boards, bags of cement, and debris on my lawn for 6 weeks. I am still picking up nails. The job was never completed per contract. I paid someone else to complete the job and am suing for damages. They never would release to us the name of their insurance company, and our letters have also gone unanswered. I have not been able to directly contact the owner.

Do not believe what you are told about when your project will be completed prior to signing the contract and giving them a deposit. This company apparently has little respect for its customers. It does not meet the promises made prior to signing contract and never once returned a telephone call. I do not recommend this company.

I WENT TO THE STORE TO ORDER THE FENCING. I GAVE THE SALES REPRESENTATIVE THE SPECIFIC HEIGHT & WIDTH BECAUSE I HAD TO MEASURE IT MYSELF. THEY WERE 6 WEEKS LATE COMING TO MY HOUSE. THE FENCE WAS THE WRONG HEIGHT & WIDTH.

WELL IT HAS BEEN TWO MONTHS AND THE JOB IS ONLY HALF DONE. THEY PROMISED IT WOULD BE DONE IN THREE DAYS. AFTER THE FIRST DAY, THEY CAME BACK ONCE AND THEN VANISHED WITH MY MONEY. WHEN THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING TO BE HERE, THEY NEVER SHOW OR THEY ARE LATE.

I WAS VERY HAPPY THAT I HAD CHOSEN FENCE ISLAND OF FLORIDA TO DO THE JOB. THEY DID A GREAT JOB AND THEIR PRICES WERE VERY REASONABLE. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM.

THIS COMPANY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB OF PUTTING UP THE FENCE AND MAKING SURE IT WAS TIGHT SO THAT MY DOG COULD NOT GET OUT. THIS COMPANY FINISH THE JOB IN A TIMELY MANNER.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICES PROVIDED TO ME BY FENCE ISLAND OF FLORIDA. THEY DO A WONDERFUL JOB AND THEIR PRICES ARE VERY REASONABLE. I LOVE THEIR COMPANY. THEY ARE GREAT.

MY FENCE MAKES ME FEEL SAFER KNOWING MY KIDS CAN PLAY IN THE BACKYARD WITHOUT HAVING ANIMALS OR PEOPLE BEING ABLE TO GET INTO THE YARD. THIS COMPANY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB OF NOT TEARING UP MY YARD AND MAKING SURE THAT THE FENCE WAS TIGHT.
