I got taken big time with this company. I was having problems with my septic drain field. As a first step in an attempted repair, I decided to have my septic tank pumped. It hadn't been pumped in five years. I called this company because of the word "budget" in the business title. I called on a Saturday and the owner answered the phone. He was at my house within half an hour. I knew where my septic tank was and substantially dug it up for him with my John Deere tractor, actually exposing both lids. The tank has a large SLUDGE chamber and a smaller EFFLUENT chamber. While he pumped out the SLUDGE chamber, I helped by cleaning the filter built into the lid of the EFFLUENT chamber. Next to the outside of the EFFLUENT chamber is a concrete lift tank which houses the lift pump for my drain field. This tank was ignored and the owner (one man operation) told me you don't ever pump out the lift tank. As I replaced the cleaned filter, he completed pumping out the SLUDGE chamber and shut down the operation. He did not pump out the EFFLUENT chamber. He was gone within 45 minutes and I paid him $245. Then I educated myself on the internet, realized that the EFFLUENT chambers and lift tank should have also been pump. I hired Dunnellon Septic to come out (a week later) and David Humm (the owner) pumped out the two chambers ignored by Budget-Rooter. The cost for having these two additional chambers pumped was $180.
