HANES HURRICANE SHUTTERS and WINDOWS

I had impact windows and doors placed for my personal house and my parents for three of their properties during six years. We are continuing to enjoy the highest of the quality. I selected Hanes due to a strong BBB and Angie’s list ratings. Between the dates of February 7, 2018 in February 23, 2018 I made 3 calls to Hanes, speaking with Allie and Corina. Also had sent 2 email with specs and request for status. Never received any reach out from Hanes. I moved onto a different contractor.

We had an appointment for estimate between 12 & 1 - it was changed to 115 and then the person finally showed at 215. We did receive an estimate but stated that if you pay with a credit card you incur an additional 4% charge

He hung from the building in a body harness! It was so cool to see him hanging like Spiderman! He did a beautiful job. They had no problems dealing with my condo association and got the permit right away. They were quick to start work and I was comfortable with the workers to be in my home when I wasn't there.

I saw him installing doors in other units of my condominium. I was given his card and information. I called them and signed a contract with them 1/2015. The service was completed 2/18/2015. During our original conversation, he mentioned he was recommended by Angie's List and I advised him that I was a member and asked if there was any discounts, he said no. The work was completed after a long wait.

In April, I received the monthly Angie's List publication and noticed a 10% off coupon. I called Angie's List and they confirmed that it was available back in January. I have made several attempts to reach the provider and they have not responded.

This is the second home that I have used Hane's Hurricane company to complete my home with shutters. My first home was a 2 story townhouse with many large sliders (4 over 9 feet) upstairs and downstairs and many decorative windows. Limited on funds, I originally was only going to complete partial the first year and complete the remainder the second year. After meeting with Cornell, the owner, he was very professional & understanding. He provided me with several options to consider. I decided to cover all windows at 1 time and it gave me a great peace of mind for many years. The accordion shutters are far superior in quality compared to others I see around. The rounded bottoms allow your feet to smoothly walk over them and are much more attractive. The interior sliders have velvet lining for smooth opening & closing functionality. The quality and appearance was far superior than others in my neighborhood. I sold my home in 1 day, and having these accordion shutters was a priority for all the buyers who made an offer.
Since the sale of the above townhouse, I purchased a large older home the following month. My main concern living in FL (born in FL) was the stability of the windows of a 30 + yr home during a hurricane. As an Office Manager, I always get 2-3 quotes for any given project. I had so much trust in the quality and honesty of Cornell's company, that I called him directly. Once again, he personally came to meet at the new home and measure and discuss my options. I was 100% confidant in Cornell's company that I did not call for a second quote. The payment process was made easy. Once again the installers were professional, spent the entire day to complete and took pride in their final completed work.
The hurricane shutters have added to the appearance and real estate value of the home. But most importantly, I feel my family, children and pets have a safe & protected home if the weather requires us to be prepared.

mr. hanes came out to my home promptly on the agreed time.  We discussed the options available, negotiated and price and he provided me a estimate.  A few days later, I confirmed that I would like ot hire him for the job, he came back and we signed a contract and he took a deposit.   About 4 weeks later, after the permit was cleared and the panels were manufactured, 2 gentlemen arrvied on time and installed the panels.  I paid the remainder of the balance at that time.

Made an appointment for a proposal.  They were very flexible with the scheduling, and very helpful in accommodating me.  The owner arrived on time.  He was very appropriate, and pleasant.  His price was reasonable.  The installers showed up on schedule and were accommodating, and cleaned up properly.  Another company that I had called before Hanes would not even come to the house because the job was too small for them.  I highly recommend this company.

The man gave me his word that they would be here and they were on time.  They came prepared and ready to work.  A storm was coming that day and they got there before the storm hit and completed the job.  The job was done in a timely manner and they cleaned up after themselves. They were also efficient at their job and would hire them again.

They did a really good job. I spent $1940 on that work. They came out when they were supposed to, showed up when they were supposed to and finished when they were supposed to.

These guys were great! They came and helped me sort through all the existing shutters to see what we had, what fit, and if we needed any more shutters or hardware. They provided the necessary materials and made me feel confident that we'll be ready if a storm comes.

After carefully researching customer reviews for hurricane shutter companies on Angie's List, I selected 3 companies to provide estimates and Hanes Hurricane Shutters was one. We left a message at the office requesting an estimate, and received a follow up call a few days later to schedule an appointment. Cornel Hanes arrived on time, did a quick survey our our home and wrote up an estimate for two options at our request: all accordions, and roll up shutters on the front door and accordions on the rest. He provided the written quote on a company brochure. After receiving quotes from the other 2 companies, we decided to select one of the other companies, whose quote was a little lower.

I called for a free estimate and set up an appointment. He arrived on time. Gave good advice and a reasonable price. Signed the contract and a small down payment. He gave me two days when the job would be done and it was the earlier date and they had called a day ahead for the notification. I was not at home when the work was done, but upon checking the work, it was done in a professional manner and everything was cleaned up. I was very happy with this company and highly recommend them.

The repair men were expert in their work and very careful in taking care of my property.

They were very good they were one a few companies who I got estimates from. Hanes was the lowest price and I was also really impressed with the contractor I talked to. They did the job well and I have already recommended them to someone. They were Professional, and Quick.

We called, were scheduled 28 days out, we were then stood up, we called again, & were scheduled again. Finally, the day of the second appointment, the owner called & said he could not do the work because we were too far. They should have told us when we first called, we wasted precious time we needed to prepare for the hurricanes.

THIS COMPANY WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND RELIABLE. THEY WERE AT MY HOME WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE. THEY KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE DOING. THEY GOT EVERYTHING DONE ON TIME.
