My house had water damage under the flooring, so I had to take everything down to the concrete slab, rip out the kitchen, and try to get everything back to good. I contacted Pinellas Construction & Restoration to manage the job, letting the owner, Steve, know that I had already picked kitchen cabinets and had a tile contractor. Steve said he was OK subcontracting out parts of the job (including the floors) if I just needed him to manage permitting/oversee the project/do some of the work. I was extremely upfront with him and stressed that I wanted to do everything by the book. Again, he said he was OK with doing the work I had asked him to do as long as the contractors were licensed (they were). Steve made me wait over a week and a half to get his architect out for an evaluation. The day after I received his initial quote for the scope of work, we made some small adjustments. His scope of work was much larger than I had anticipated, but I was willing to pay for it to do things properly. When I told him that I'd go with the tile contractor like we initially spoke about to do only the tile portion, Steve abruptly quit on me, stating, "I made it a rule not to get involved in projects that are underway, and I am not willing to make an exception at this point". This was a complete 180 from his initial statements weeks earlier. He sent this to me after putting his quote together and going over how his work would fit in. Steve completely wasted my time and betrayed my trust at the last minute, while knowing that my wife and I are basically living on a concrete slab (and will be for the next few months) until progress is made. I would not recommend hiring this company at all. There are better contractors in the area who stick to their word and won't waste your time.

This company was a pleasure to work with. They are very competent, dependable and cleaned up after their work. Their pricing was very fair.
