Jim is a fair and competent contractor that I have used for years. My project has been very challenging since it involved a number of items that needed to be repaired and/or making the walls, etc. much improved from what they were! James is the best overall contractor I have every had do work for me. I did not realize the difference between a Finishing Contractor and a General Contractor before I hired him. However, I now know that it certainly is well worth your time and money to have someone that is so diligent, precise in measurements and work ethic, consistently checks with his customer to make sure he/she/they are aware of everything that is involved in whatever project he is doing for them. Status reports as items are "in the works" are invaluable, as well. He is also great at clean-up as he works and keeps your comfort in mind, whenever possible.

James, owner of Gulf Beaches Remodeling and Finish Carpentry, LLC, recently remodeled the kitchen and both bathrooms in our 1947 home. Being an old home, we took everything down to the studs and installed new plumbing, electrical etc. James was extremely reliable and trustworthy. He is a problem-solver with a can-do mentality. We are very pleased with how everything turned out and would highly recommend him!

It takes special skill and patience to work on an older home and they embraced the challenge. His knowledge and abilities generated excellent quality of work. With an older home there are always “surprises” and he is able to find solutions that work. His pricing is fair and stands behind his work. I have recommended him to friends.

James did a great job installing my mid century exterior door. The door had an odd fit, but James was able to customize the framing to make it fit perfectly. He also spent some extra effort making sure my Nest door lock worked perfectly. He and Sandy worked around my schedule and were prompt in their responses to my questions. I would recommend!
