Pensacola Pools in Gulf Breeze was supposed to provide weekly service on my pool for 6 months while I was deployed. 3 days after their service was supposed to end, I checked my equipment and saw my chlorine generator's ?no flow" red light was on. Opening it up, it was almost completely scaled up (it says on the side to open and inspect it every 3 months). I had my water tested and it showed 0 chlorine and about half as much salt as it should have. Although it had rained heavily the past few days, an independent water tester said the rainfall would not have caused such low values. My vacuum hose was also split radially and there was significant debris in my pool and skimmer. They did fix my Polaris which I had been told by another company was unserviceable, so props for that. When I went to Pensacola Pools to ask about their service, the manager, Tom, assisted me. I got as far as ?You serviced my pool for 6 months? before Tom interrupted me, saying he didn?t recognize my name (I was in uniform), and I couldn?t be a customer of his. I insisted I was which he denied again and began to walk away. When I insisted a third time, he asked who my technician was, and I said Justin. He then acknowledged that was one of his technicians. I tried to show Tom a picture of my chlorine generator (which he waved away) and began to explain the other problems, but he kept interrupting, insisting his technician had fulfilled his contract and went to retrieve paperwork to prove it. When he was unable to find paperwork for the last 22 days of ?service,? he stated I must be mistaken about the date at which service was supposed to end. I stated I was not. He called someone to verify the dates and confirmed I was correct about the end date. Tom searched his paperwork again to no avail and (30 minutes after I walked through the door) finally became polite, stating it wasn?t how they normally did business. He stated he would refund half of a month?s worth of charges and offered to clean the chlorine generator free of charge; a task I had already accomplished (it took me 45 minutes). I received my refund a few days later. The neglect of my pool and the antagonistic treatment I received by the manager, Tom, made it easy to decide to never use Pensacola Pools in Gulf Breeze again.
