First they killed and removed the existing grass in the areas to be worked on. On the north side of the house: Put in a stepping stone and pea rock pathway from driveway through a fence gate into the back yard and up to the back porch. Then installed steps up to the porch with same materials. The area in front of the fence will become a butterfly garden. On the south side of the house: Regraded a steep slope that ran from house foundation to the property line. Then place native limestone bolders, personnally select by the landscaper, into the newly graded area. Then put in a small drip irrigation system on a timer for the 3 newly planted Yaupon Hollies. Finally mulched the entire area. The entire area was edged with the same stones that were used on the pathway. In the fall we will plant this area with native plants. To tie the sides together, they placed small smaller boulders in the front bermed area and next to the front porch. These will be planted with succulents. Working with Larry, Lacy and their crew was a fun and rewarding experience. They listened to our ideas and vision and followed through with their design. As the project proceeded, Larry and his crew consulted with us as issues came up and together we came up with the answer. We are very pleased with the result and will be happy to refer them.
