Ron Voyles misdiagnosed the problem with our washing machine claiming it needed a new motherboard charged us 125.00 for a service call and said it was going to cost us over 500.00 and that was just a start. A new machine was $510. We ended up fixing it ourselves with help from Whirlpool with $27 actuator switch . Ron then agreed to go half and reimburse us on the misdiagnosed service call verbally agreed to and took credit card info to give to his wife/ secretary / partner She refused to reimburse us for half the charge. It must be nice to collect $125 and not need any tools any parts or any returns be careful they just condemn the appliance take their $125 service call do nothing and say goodbye. I would not recommend him for anything at all. Be cautious when hiring this company or better yet don’t

Ron worked hard to repair. Had to replace the "brain box" and knob. Knob not sold separately, so he found a used one and installed it. Dryer works the way it should. The billing is somewhat difficult to understand and not sure we were charged correctly. even though they believe we were. Not blaming anyone, just hard to understand explanation of billing. Have used them before and work is more than acceptable.

He gave conflicting opinions as to the cost advantage of repair over replacement. The "diagnosis" and opinion as to repair/replacement took about 5 minutes and could've been provided with just a phone call since he was able to make his diagnosis without even looking at the appliance. It was a wasted $90.00.

2014I asked him to come to look at washer and dryer He looked at washer about 10 minutes and said it needed a new computer and I would have to give him $300 up front. He said the part would be here in a few days. Almost 4 weeks later the part came in. The whole time he was very unhelpful and when part came in I had to wait more days because he had to find time to fit me in!.When he put it in it didn't work. Another computer code came up and he now said it needed a door latch and he would have to send away for it. This time I waited two and a half weeks. When he put it in he still couldn't get it started and said the part must have been broken and he needed to send out for another one. I asked him if there wasn't another place to get a part and he said no he had asked everyone. While he was there I called Sears and they told me they could overnight any part I needed!! I told him and he left in a huff saying he "had had it" with the washer and he wanted to go home because it was Friday> He acted like it was my fault. The first time he came I asked him if he could fix the squeel in the dryer. He said it was "no big deal" and it just neededd to be oiled but he never did it. Each time he came I asked him if he could look at it but he always was too frustrated with the washer and it never got done.
Voyles used to have top marks as far as products and service. I don't know what happened but I think he needs to retire.

Well, we have been to the laundormate for 3 months or so, spend a little money, NEVER gotta a call from these people EVER saying, sorry we haven't got the part or we just can't fix this thing. And THEY TELL US they can fix it or that they will fix it. I don't believe it.

The bottom line: it took almost 6 weeks to fix the problem that could have been solved in two to three weeks. It seems that the company needs more personnel. I can not blame them for not willing to hire extra people but then they should come up with a better way of tracking their service requests and returning calls.

My faith in humanity is renewed. Not only did Voyles show up when they said they would, they fixed my ice maker, no problem. I can't wait to use them again!

Good work, trustworthy. It seemed to take a while for the part to be ordered, but they came out the same day as UPS delivered the part to them, installed the part, and viola, I was able to dry clothes again!

We bought an LG refrigerator that quit working 13 months after we bought it. Out of its 12 month warranty by a month. Stopped in at Voyles to talk to them and schedule a service call. The tech asked me to explain the problem, they then sold me a part to try before scheduling a service call. It turns out that there are major problems with this model refrigerator and it will need expensive work done to it and even then may not work for long. Voyles tech told us to think long and hard before putting too much money into this refrigerator, I'm not sure I've ever had a business try and talk me out of spending a great deal of money with them.

The technician was very prompt. Said he'd be there in 30 minutes and was there right on time. He diagnosed the problem on the washer, had the part in his truck, replaced it, and was heading out the door in 20 minutes. He was very professional the entire time. A pleasure to work with.
