Because the check engine service light intermittently turned on and off had our car assessed by another diesel service provider and were told that the glow plugs needed to be replaced. We went to Star Import for a second opinion. After assessing the car for a few hours, we were informed that the sensor was defective, not the glow plugs. The "check engine" light has not come on since, and we saved $600.
