Excellent, caring and reasonably priced services. We have used Dr. Shores for 35 years with many of our pets. They are compassionate people. Their first concern is your pet's well-being. They will not tack on extra costs or pressure you for extra services like I experienced at other offices when we moved out of the area briefly. I can not say enough good things about this office! We won't go anywhere else.

.I believe a complete misdiagnosis was made on my dog.  No tests were done.  She was having seizures that were minor but she began to fall down and her legs would stiffen straight out in front of her when she was on her back and couldn't move for several seconds.  She could not stand up right away. 

The doctor just said she must have just been dizzy when she stood up.  We had to put her to sleep within a week.

The cat was horrible and did not like vets at all and they treated him like he was royalty. But this vet took him in and was just as nice. He didn't complain and took care of everything. The cat had kidney failure and he didn't have any more days to live so we decided to have him put down. They just did everything and everything was fine. They also took care of the cat's remains, it was all part of it. They're very professional and probably the best I've ever dealt with.

We continue to use Shores for the extended office hours and the positive experience.

We have been using him for about 30 years now. He has always taken such good care of us. We had a dog for 15 years, and the dog needed surgery on a tumor. Golden Retrievers usually don't live that long. We couldn't afford the surgery, but he did it. You don't hear about that happening anywhere. He is a good person. He is very, very honest. He will tell it to you exactly like it is. If there's no hope, he will tell you. He doesn't play around or anything. He tells you what he sees, and he tries to save people money. He's a really good man.

We got a big discount when we last went in because our cat had to have a lot of stuff done like a surgery and that was for a couple of days. Their service was wonderful. We called them on a Saturday. We had a different vet and they said that they couldn’t work us in even though I have a sister who is a vet. They said that we had to see a vet since our cat wasn’t eating and was throwing up. So, I didn’t tell that to our vet because I called them and when they said they couldn’t see us, I called my sister. By then they had already said that they were too busy and made an appointment for Monday or Tuesday. So, I called Shores Animal Hospital just out of the blue and they said they could see him. Then they saw him and took x-rays and all the stuff they needed to. They sent him home and then we took him back because he was still having trouble. So, they monitored him and did more tests for a couple of days. Then they did the surgery. They called us a lot to inform us about what was going on. They were really good, helpful and friendly. They kept us informed. Their prices are very reasonable. I would definitely use their services in the future too.

Over the years, you get a feeling about good vets and bad ones. Has nothing to do with there office, one of the worst vets, that almost killed my dog had the biggest and nicest office. The best vet i ever had, office looked like something from a bad movie. But that vet truly cared about the health of my animals, and was able to treat different aliments, as they came up. Shores animal hospital, started like this, one waited a long time. Two my visit was rushed, three didn't have time to talk with me about a new flea product. Four when my dog got bumps from the flea product, they gave me the "i don't know", with out really spending more then 2 minutes with us on the problem.

Other than the fact that the prices seem to be on the high side, the facility is wonderful, clean and the people are just so professional. They are quick but thorough in checking over the dogs and treat all of the animals they work with very kindly, as if they were their own.
