I gave an overall F rating because of the outrageous cost of a 40 minute service call even though the worker and the work were excellent. Service guy came on schedule for bottom freezer of frig that was leaking.. He was extremely knowledgeable and businesslike. After taking out ice maker, sliding freezer door and back panels in freezer box in order to get to the cooling coils, he diagnosed the problem as a clogged drain. At that point he gave an estimate of $406 for the repair. Assuming the repair would be complicated and time consuming, and already having committed to a $95 service call expense, I reluctantly gave the ok to do the repair. To my shock and surprise, the fix was completed in about 30 minutes. The service guy was clearly embarrassed about the cost and explained that the charge was dictated by the job code--plugged drain--and he could do nothing to reduce the charge. He did suggest that a 20% discount coupon was often available on line and suggested I download one. I tried to do so but the discount coupon was no longer being offered. He checked on this and confirmed that it looked like the promotion was not available. I think his embarrassment caused him to spend about an additional ten minutes to adjust the upper refrigerator door which did not close tight due to sagging. The fix was adding a shim washer to the hinge pin that probably cost 10 cents. All in all: a 40 minute visit; 10 cents in parts for $406, or a $600 per hour rate. Was an outrageous ripoff. We will never again do business with Sears for any work. As a comparison, my local, top flight, car maintenance and repair shop charges at $95 per hour. I am also complaining to the Better Business Bureau.

I started this process in August, and the work was performed in October. There was a delay in the material being received from the manufacturer, maybe due to the hurricane. I don't know. However, my contact person kept in contact with me and left messages as to the status of my order. He kept me informed. Due to my work schedule, I was unavailable during the week, and an installer came on a Saturday to do the work. He worked most of the day. My wood floor is beautiful. He did a great job. I think the installer took pride in his work. I sure am glad he took his time and ensured his measurements and cuts were correct.

I did not think they cleaned up after themselves well. When they put the vents back together, they were much too close and I asked them not to do that. I had no issues with scheduling and there was one technician here doing the work.

I wasn't that happy because there were stains on my carpet in the living room that they couldn't get out. The price was okay.

They were the only ones who would do the work for me because I have an older model of ducts. I had 14 ducts to be cleaned. I was limited on who I to choose.

I used the online job scheduler which was convenient and easy to use. When they called to confirm my appointment, they got additional information, which, it turned out, made my job cost more than the online estimate. When you schedule the estimate online, it asks whether the dryer is vented through the wall or through the roof. My dryer vent goes under the foundation, which added to the estimate. However, they were upfront about that cost increase, and I felt it was reasonable. I don't know the typical cost of dryer vent cleaning in this area, so I have no way to gauge if the cost was unusually high or low.
Sears Carpet and Air Duct Cleaning cleaned my dryer vents, clearing them out from both the inside and the outside. When the initial clearing of the vent didn't satisfy the technician (he felt there still could be better air movement) he did it again. My vents are clear, my dryer only has to run once, and I'm quite happy with the job he did. The technician came slightly outside of the window I was told he would be there, but he accomplished the job quickly (approximately 30-40 minutes). Had it taken longer, the lateness would have been an issue.

I used the Sears website to request an appointment for carpet cleaning. The website clearly explains the cost of services. Within an hour, a local Sears representative called me to confirm the appointment date and time (I made the appointment a month in advance). On the day of the appointment, the technician came during the time frame I was told he would come. He was friendly, experienced and knowledgable. He treated our and quot;high-trafficand quot; areas and was able to clean the carpet to my satisfaction. With no furniture to move around, three bedrooms and 2 living areas were cleaned in right at 1 hour.

We have used Sears Carpet Cleaning three times and we were amazed at how nice the carpet looked when they left. We have two cats and three dogs. George the cleaning man was very conscientious about cleaning the animal spots and did a GREAT job. We tried other companies and also the dry method. No one compared to Sears.

We generally don't like to hire big nation companies to do our household "jobs" but we had good appliance service with Sears before and other evaluations on this list were good so we thought we'd give it a try. When we called for information they said they would call back - they did the next day and gave a pretty accurate estimate of for all the things we needed done. The appointment was set for a few days later between 12-2 and one service man showed up just before 2 pm. The service man (George) was very friendly, helpful and professional. He cleaned carpet in 3 bedrooms, a hallway and 2 floor rugs as well as a small recliner. Although we moved some big items and personal items before he arrived he moved quite a few other items to get as much coverage cleaned as he could. The tan carpets are white again! They look terrific as do the two floor rugs and the small recliner that was very dirty. It took about an hour and a half total. At the end we were asked if we wanted to apply ScotchGuard to all the rooms but we decided just to do the high-traffic hallway for a slight extra charge. It should also be noted that they honored the "internet prices" we found on line that are a bit lower than normal prices. However, for what they did, and in comparison to other local companies we have used, they were very good value. We would certainly use them again.

Sears sent an employee named George to do our upholstery cleaning. He was on time, professional, courteous and helpful with information about protecting our upholstery from further damage and all in all did a great job

My experience with Sears Carpet and Air Duct Cleaning went fine. They came out and cleaned the carpet and then they put something on the carpet that felt really bad afterwards. And, because of this they came back the next day and re cleaned the stuff out that they had put on the carpet with no additional charge.

The work done by them was good. They were very prompt, courteous and patient. They came on time and in fact, they came a little early. They weren’t too disruptive at all.

They were very responsive. They were nice and kind. They were very quick in responding to my initial call and they were very pleasant. They were prompt in calling back.

Service was prompt and done in a professional manner. Price is also the best in town. I'm not comfortable having some no name provider come into my house. This has the Sears name behind it so it's a relief.
