However, when I looked up your name in our system I noticed that we serviced you on Wednesday August 14th. I also noticed that this review was written on August 13th the day before we serviced you. We were thinking it may belong to the company before us that never showed up. "Thank you for your review Mr August. I would like to clear up what may have been misunderstood on your part but was clearly explained and written on your estimate. To insulate your door your price was $475, however, the technician also recommended if you do have it insulated with triple insulation which is what you were wanting, then any garage door company should know that is going to add alot more weight to your door and that is why our technician recommended to replace the springs as well and that was $299. If you don't have strong enough springs on your door to make up the difference for the weight added to it from the insulation then it will put unnecessary wear on your garage door opener. Then there was a 1 hour labor charge for $85 which is pretty standard. That is what would have made the total $859. Then the technician also provided an estimate for comparison for a triple insulated door that did not come to $2700 as you claimed but in fact it was $2255 and that included the trim as well as the installation charge. We do appreciate all of our customers and their reviews but would also appreciate it even more when the information on the review was not going to mislead anyone else. If you wanted to leave a review for KC Garage Door then we would appreciate you doing that on their forum. Thank you."
