The compressor was working fine but inside air handler was not blowing air. So we called Ray French to give us an estimate and make the needed repairs as we have done for the past 20 years. Rob showed up at our residence the same day and replaced the parts needed in both the compressor and the air handler. The blower inside the air handler was removed and stabilized. Because our A/C was installed in 2000 we feared that the whole system might need replacement at a price we could not afford. No fear. Rob made the necessary repairs and replacement parts and it is running again just like new. As Rob put it, perfect is better than good. Without hesitation we would call him again. There was no discussion or pressure to replace the system because these skilled workmen treat customers like family and have been doing so since 1961. Phillip E.

So wrong! Had work to do out in the garage so left him alone. I was told he had to add 5#s of freon. That the system had a leak and cost more to fix than to replace. Told me the system had to many 'Bells & Whistles' that he would replace it with a much cheaper system. Over a year later had another checkup and was told system was working great. Asked about leaks, there were none. Asked about the added freon and was told the system would not hold that much! Ray French, took the coupon and never went inside to check the thromostat, filter or if it was even cooling. Took the money and left. You want to trus people but you have watch them every minute.

Paid him. Then the system checked the next year there were no leaks had full pressure. Found out we had been lied to. Will never call or recommend. He told me when had too many 'bells and whistles' on the system and he could replace it with a much cheaper one. I was so upset when I found out I had been taken.

I had new AC components (inside evaporator and outside fan and condenser) installed two years ago, but I had not replaced the blower motor at the same time. This was my mistake because AC is useless if the cooled air cannot be moved throughout the house. In any case the technician from Ray French arrived on time (about 1pm), diagnosed the problem within about 30 minutes, and to my surprise was able to get a replacement motor (Goodman brand) from a store in Gainesville and then install the motor by the end of the day (about 5pm). He even inspected the rest of the AC system and its operation before finishing. I can't say enough about how great my experience with Ray French AC & Heating was. Both the dispatcher and technician were prompt, efficient, and very professional. I will definitely hire them for all future work.

I don’t really know the cost because there were rebates, tax credits, utility company rebates and manufactures rebates. I don’t remember how long it took to do the job, but it was done timely and they didn’t have to keep coming back or anything. They left the area clean.

I have been using them long before I knew about Angie’s List. They come every 6 months. I have a contract. I don’t get charged out of pocket, I pay once a year. Responsiveness is why I have used them for 13 years. Only one worker came out. He is professional. The same guy comes out frequently.

Very professional and installed within days of me accepting the estimate.  Price was very competitive compared to other estimates that I received.

Rod showed up on time and was very friendly. After explaining the cooling problem, Rod went straight to work. I watched as he did the various diagnostics. He explained everything that he was doing and quickly determined that my Quickstart was dead. He further explained that one of my capacitors was just outside of specifications but stated that it could probably. He had the Quickstart part on his truck, so there was no delay. After changing the part, he showed me the new readings on the diagnostic equipment, and then checked the unit to ensure that the compressor would start. He then continued with additional diagnostics on the outside unit. Once this was complete, he moved to the inside unit. We discussed the importance of changing the filter. He then changed my filter, ran diagnostics on the inside unit, and then cleaned the unit. He discussed bacteria, mold, and mildew, and he told my about some UV kits that can be installed to clean up the air that circulates back into the house. After finishing the inside unit, he went back outside and cleaned the coils on my outside unit. 
No high pressure sales, but I did purchase a service contract which covered this service call and Winter 2016. The contract allowed me to save some money on the Quickstart and a small amount on these service calls. 
Very pleasant experience with Rod, and he spoke highly of his employer's reputation in the community.

They did an air conditioning tune up. The guy was very nice, took his time, and explained everything to me.
