We accepted the proposal and gave the requested deposit (626.00), as we were told it was required to "order materials and get on the schedule". Since this time, communication has ceased. We have made multiple attempts by phone, text, and email to get updates about our project with no response. This is very unprofessional. If you don't want to do the job, at least call and/or return the deposit. that is the "right" thing to do. It looks like we are out 626.00 and about 6 weeks on our schedule. Wow.

Very good experience. Jon and his crew worked hard, and did a fantastic job.

About a year ago, we had hardwood floors installed in three bedrooms, a hall and a staircase.  We were very satisfied with the installer and had hoped to have him install flooring in a downstairs half-bath.  We had purchased heart pine wood for the bath.  After nearly three months of calling the previous installer and his either not returning our calls or putting us off, I called Jonathan.
 He came out the next day, and on the following day he was able to fit us in to install the floor.  On both days, he was able to come an hour or so before our agreed upon time, and he called to make sure it was all right to come early.  Jonathan was very professional and his craftsmanship was top-notch.  He also cleaned up thoroughly both inside and outside after he finished his work.  My only reservation is that I thought his charge was a tad high, but as you can see from my review, I was very satisfied with his work and would happily recommend him in the future.

His pricing was very competitive. The job was completed in about two weeks. The clean-up was excellent! He even left the extra hardwood behind and stacked it in a closet for us. I had thought of doing the job myself, but after seeing the work he has done, I am so glad I had him do the work. He did a perfect job at edging and getting into the corner. Jonathan is very knowledgeable. The flooring was installed about six months ago and it still looks like it was installed yesterday! He did a great job with the work.

The best way that I can describe John Hughes and his crew (family) is that they care about doing a first rate job and they are meticulous. I had various quotes from flooring companies that wanted to do all kinds of crazy things to re-do the stairs, from using laminate to cover the stairs to ripping-out the entire stringer and starting over. Even covering them in laminate was going cost just a little less than solid hardwood so that was a no-brainer. John was able to remove the treads and risers, one at a time, and replace the treads with solid oak. The stairs are just beautiful now. I will use John and his family of professionals on my next flooring project.

John Hughes was meticulous in the feathering into the existing floor. The result is really beautiful! There was a lot of labor involved in the project and he kept things meticulous. He also put up with my dog getting in the way.

Jonathan came promptly to do the estimate when called, bringing samples of flooring for us to consider. He talked us through the pros and cons of different options. We came to a decision quickly, though scheduling the actual installation took some time because of my work schedule. Once we settled on a start date, the job went well as we stayed in the house while the carpet was removed and the flooring installed. The team leveled all cement floors before the hardwood was installed, and their work is beautiful and absolutely precise. We were never quite sure when they'd arrive each day; that's the only issue we had. Definitely I would recommend them if you are making a significant investment in hardwood flooring at the highest quality level.

He was punctual and worked long hours to ensure the job was completed in the timeframe he had promised.
Jonathan was also helpful in the selection process and provided great insights regarding the pros and cons of different types of woods.
This is a family owned and operated business and their attention to detail is amazing.
Jonathan also spent several extra hours designing and installing an accent piece in our front hall that is beautiful.

We called and got an estimate. They came promptly and when they said they would come; and I don't think it took more than 2 days, as best I recall. They were efficient, strictly business, and easy to work with. I would have them again, and probably will...

They did an outstanding job, and you cannot see where these floors have been repaired. They were an excellent company to work with, and every detail of the job went just as promised. They are excellent craftsmen/artists and we would not hesitate to use them again. Highly recommend this company!
