Matt's Maintenance & Remodeling

We hired Matt's company to remodel my brother's kitchen. When the project was completed, we were very happy that we had chosen him for the job. Matt was very professional, highly knowledgeable and easy to work with. He offered a number of suggestions throughout the project that greatly improved upon our initial concept. I highly recommend Matt's Maintenance & Remodeling company: they'll get the work done right and at a very decent price.

Matt and his team were excellent and professional throughout our remodeling. We needed extensive remodeling during the pandemic, which posed extra challenges, but Matt and his team stayed the course and were extremely professional during the whole process. Our house looks beautiful now! Matt was also the only contractor who was very cognizant of our budget and offered money saving advice throughout the process. We remodeled 3 bathrooms, our kitchen, plus had our floors replaced. I would not hesitate to hire him again.

Service provided was very good

Matt was very flexible and allowed us to do some of the work on the remodel, such as painting and baseboards, to reduce the cost. All of the subs (plumbing, tile, shower glass, etc.) were on time, professional and skilled. It was an extensive remodel and turned out beautifully. We also decided to use his services to install wood flooring in 4 bedrooms and that also went very well. Great results and experience!

We were very happy with Matt's work. He was an excellent communicator - we always knew what was happening next. He was responsive to our questions or concerns - as busy as I know he is, he always took the time to talk to me about concerns or to answer my questions. Both his employees and his sub-contractors were skilled workers and were considerate and easy to have in our house. They cleaned up after their work on a daily basis. Matt's estimate was on target and there were no surprises in the final invoice. I have already recommended him to others, and I would gladly use him again for future work.

Great. Initially was an issue/miscommunication of what I wanted done, between one of the workers and myself. I called Matt and he made it right the next day.

Matt responded quickly to my request for an estimate, came to the house and reviewed the work with me, and provided a written estimate within a few days of his visit. We really wanted the work to be done by Christmas, and even though Matt's price was a bit higher than the other estimate we received, the fact that Matt was able to get his folks in place quickly and start work immediately after we signed the contract spurred us on to go with him. Matt's folks were great at closing off the bathroom, protecting our wood floors, and minimizing the dust in the house during the demo part of the task. Everything proceeded smoothly and the remodel was 90% done by Christmas. Given that we were on a tight schedule and there were a couple of days of rain where work could not be done, I was okay with the work not quite getting finished by the holidays. Matt was able to come out and wrap up the rest of the work right after Christmas. We are pleased with the quality of the work and thought Matt was very professional and did a great job stopping by the house regularly to check on progress and communicating status with us.

Renovation of our bathroom, repaired flooring and worked on our back deck on our house and complete renovation of our kitchen and both bathrooms on our condo.

All went well

For small jobs like ours, Matt sends a general handyman (or two) and you pay by the hour. We got Scott for an entire day. He showed up when we were told he would. We went over all the work we needed done and he explained how he'd go about it. He was very professional and got it all done. We're planning to hire Matt for other work soon.

Prompt response, scheduled within a week, all completed on time in one day. All the fans were balanced and working perfectly before they left.

Beautifully

Everything was done timely as requested. The guys could have been a little neater but other contractors were at the home.

Matt was able to arrange to have his crew at our house to remove the wallpaper in the bathrooms within short period of time and they worked quickly to get it removed within our time table. The same is true for workers needed for the other jobs. The workers were professional and offered us some tips to assist us in doing some of the work ourselves. Matt also provided us with detailed information about some remodeling in our kitchen and master bathroom we were considering so we could make an informed decision on these projects.

They did not remove the rotted old 4x4 fence posts, but instead added (in a random fashion) new fence posts while leaving the rotted ones attached to the fence. It looks ridiculous, but word from the owner is this is how they do it... I would strongly urge anyone in need of handyman services to look elsewhere, this company is unskilled and their integrity is highly questionable.

The two men from this firm did excellent work and accomplished all these tasks. They were on time, friendly and professional. I will definitely call them again for future handyman services and recommend them without reservation!

They did not finish the work. They were also supposed to put together a treadmill. I paid for two hours and they only did one. If they had done all their time, they would have finished the work. I would absolutely not use them again in the future.

They didn't complete the job. I paid for two hours and they only worked one. If they would have finished their time they would have finished what they were supposed to get done. It was $150 for two hours or something like that. They were late.
