We wanted a complete remodel of the bathroom off the master bedroom. Allen Graetz worked with us and gave us everything we asked for. In addition, every person who entered our home was polite, friendly, and made sure that we were receiving what we wanted. Our concerns were immediately responded to and our requests were granted. Clean-up was done each day and a complete clean-up was done after completion. We love our new bathroom and are extremely happy with the relatively stress-free project. We would definitely contact Graetz again for any remodeling we would consider.

We hired Graetz after several conversations with other builders regarding our custom home did not progress forward (other builders are reluctant to do custom work). Allan and his team took great interest in our plans, added invaluable advice from his years of experience, and worked with us to get our home built as well and quickly as possible. Between him and Mark, we learned quickly to trust them both. They pointed out problems or potential problems that we didn't even notice, and fixed them well. Mark was often out doing work to make sure things were done on time, and they were done well. I've never seen a house before where the flooring, molding, casings, mantel, and countertops are all actually level - it's really quite amazing how well they did even when it comes to minute details that only they may notice. They were familiar with how to work through issues at the best price but with quality work, and the folks they work with (tile, flooring, etc) do fantastic work as well. There are more projects we'd like to do now that the house is complete - and Graetz is the only group we will go with for additions and renovations. Other reviews here are upset about the cost, but we found them to be comparable if not slightly less expensive than other builders, but without the rushed cookie-cutter feel.

The installation went fairly smoothly. They initially installed the pre-cast lintel a few inches too high (it looked very out of place next to the existing window a few feet to the left), but I told them about it, and they removed it, cut the wall out a bit lower, and reinstalled the lintel. After the mortar dried, they installed the window, and it looks and works great. Very smooth action on opening and closing the window (windows can be difficult to open/close if installed not completely square/level). The price was excellent, and the only hangup was the delay on getting masons out there to work on the wall, but masons are in short supply right now in our city, and EVERY company stated that it would be 6 to 8 weeks to get going on this project, so I cannot hold that against Graetz. I heartily recommend this company to anyone looking to remodel their homes.

The professionalism of the company was outstanding - on time, communicated daily, jointly worked out construction issues, kept to the timeline. They sent letters to my neighbors to let them know about the construction. They instructed all the subs and crew members to watch out for our dogs (including the blind one). Any delays were quickly communicated. Answered questions at all hours. Top notch performance.

It was our first major remodel and I think our experience was good.   The construction took longer then we liked, but it was not unreasonable.   They were responsive and very helpful and delivered a quality product.  We have enjoyed the new addition very much over the last 10 years.   I am looking to remodel our kitchen next and am looking forward to contacting them again.

Project took several weeks. Workmanship and attention to detail was excellent work. Adaptability and responsiveness was excellent. Provided a fair payment schedule in a detailed contract. Promptly addressed any concern. Even managed to work out differences between my wife and I over the scope and details. Result looked like a photo from HGTV or a magazine.

The work took a lot less time that I thought, 2 weeks total start to finish. I was very happy with the quality of their work and their attention to detail. I only had one small issue for them to take care of at the end of the job and it was addressed very quickly and to my satisfaction.

Went well. They are always polite. Do great work. My only complaint is that the projects take too long to complete and at times I didn't know if someone was coming that day or not. But I'd use them again. This is the third project they have done for us and all have been wonderful and creative.

We still get Christmas cards from Graetz Remodeling and Custom Homes. Every time I think about doing something with the house they'll probably be the first I call. I can't say much about the price because it was paid through Workers Compensation. I must say, I was amazed how fast they got the job done. I'm new to Angie's List and I'd use Graetz Remodeling and Custom Homes again.

From start to finish we couldn't be more pleased with the cleanliness, workmanship, and daily updates provided by Alan Graetz and Jason Steele. Both men have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, listened attentively to our requests and questions and then responded sensibly and to the point. We never once had the sense that we were being strung along or being misled on the couple of occasions when an item (e.g. towel bar, floor tile, etc.) we had chosen wasn't immediately available. It's probably important to note that my wife and I are in our 60s and have had, over the years, considerable experience with contractors and remodelers, none has done as fine a job with as fastidious attention to detail as the team at Graetz Remodeling.

I did not recieve any kind of itemized bid or showing me what kind of product I am actually getting for the money I am spending. I dont understand this, therefore would not do business with this firm. Salesman seemed a bit abrupt, and seemed interested in making a quick sale instead of meeting my needs/expectations.

Within our company we have only 2 persons who conduct sales calls; neither of which recall speaking or meeting with you. All of our bidding is stored on a main server in our office and nowhere is your project located. Without a completed (electronic) bid sheet there would be no bid to present to you. As for the itemized bid... Graetz Remodeling does not present itemized bids unless expressly asked for. In our proposals you WILL know exactly what kind of product you will be getting for your money. Our 2 sales people are neither abrupt nor uninterested in whatever project is at hand. Based on your statement versus the product we present and the countless numbers of customer referrals it is in our opinion you have mistaken our company for another in town."

I contacted the company with the scope of work and asked for a quote. After about a week of waiting and a time crunch scenario someone finally wrote back and said they would give a quote in a couple days. Never received a response or a quote after that so they lost my business. The Grade of C is simply because of the N/A being available and my inability to truly grade this company's work. They would get an F if it were based on professionalism.

We cannot present a quote to perform work without first visiting the site in order to ensure we can present an accurate quote. Again, we are sorry your experience with Graetz Remodeling was a negative one and would like you to know this is DEFINETLY NOT our manner of conducting business. They were fantastic. They did the job right. They are a little expensive, but you get what you pay for. Alan Graetz watches the job every minute. They clean up everyday. It is exactly what you want, or he fixes it so it is exactly what you want. I can't give a better recommendation. I wanted to get the job done for $7,000.
