We provide quality Residential & Commercial electrical services. In 1958 Ernest Goodson (my dad) decided to start an electrical company after working several years for other businesses. During the time he operated his business, he paid close attention to detail, workmanship and the customer. He realized the best way to stay in business was to keep the customer happy. My dad did that by giving them quality work, a safe environment and a reasonable price. He also knew the importance of honesty and integrity. We were very impressed by Mr. Goodson when he visited our home to give an estimate for the work we requested. Two of his employees, John and Justin, did excellent work and were very helpful and easy to have in our home. We are really happy to know of an excellent electric company in Gainesville and will certainly use them in the future.

Called and spoke with Glenda who is very kind and took my information right away. We had an appointment for an estimate and shortly after that we set up an appointment to have the work done. It was going to be a 2 day job, but that morning they had 2 people call in sick. I was a bit disappointed, but understand things happen. We rescheduled and everything went well. My husband and I were very happy with the work they did. Everyone was friendly and they cleaned up very well after the installation of things which is also very important to me. We will defiantly have them come back again as we need more work.

Very well. The replacement pump I purchased had a different connection and the electrician was able to deal with it. After installation, had the new box kept tripping and shutting itself off. Came out and fixed it. They also followed up a couple of weeks later and were willing to come back out if there continued to be problems. Which there weren't. Will be using them for future electrical issues.

It went well. The first appointment had to be rescheduled due to an emergency with an existing client, but everything went very smoothly on the second appointment. The team was on time, very professional, and helpful in giving advice on how to properly wire for an older structure. They even checked the hard wired smoked detector and replaced when it was discovered that it didn't work - I had no idea! All the work was completed that day.

Excellent. Goodson was here on time - early actually, but waiting until I arrived. Surveyed the job, determined the needs and strategies, and then got to work. No significant delays and the work was done more quickly than I anticipated. Overall - excellent work and I would gladly bring them back for future needs.

I had no problems. They did the work, they worked satisfactory and I was happy with their work. They were reasonable. They were in the range. I think I took a couple of estimates before they came out and they were kind of right there in the middle. They do good quality work. They were there on time. They weren't able to fix the problem on the first visit. They explained it, they came back, they were very quick about getting back and then fixing it. There was a part they needed that they needed that wasn't something that they usually keep in stock, and they actually went somewhere and got it from them and then came back and fixed my issue. This was the first time that I had used them.

Installation went well. I had a little problem hooking up the my generator to the outside plug they installed and although this problem wasn't part of their installation, they came right out and helped me solve the problem.

Project took longer than expected due to unforeseen attic routing difficulties, but in spite of that, the work was completed at the estimated quote and in a meticulous manner! Both technicians were friendly and professional. They sought out my input as needed to ensure that the work was being done as requested. Just a super experience and I definitely have a "go to" electrical repair company for any future needs!

To start of they came at 8am instead of the 11am appointment time. When they did the work they spent at least an hour using the wrong tool so they eventually had to get the right tool. Instead of using a metal conduit they used pvc that they didn't secure well enough and had to come back to secure properly. When they were done working I had to clean up after them, and they didn't put a grommet in the fuse box. I had another electrician look at their work and he would not have done what they did. There is another review on here about two young guys that messed up a ceiling fan operation. It seems like the same young guys did the work at my place.

"We are sorry for the mishap. The initial service was May 19th 2016. When you called we came out and addressed the issue. We did not charge any fee to make the changes and completed the corrections April 15th. We stand behind all of our work."

We did a complete demolition and remodel of our master bathroom, to include relocating the vanity and all lighting. The work performed was top-notch, to include offering up some good ideas. Work was done quickly, professionally and at a very reasonable price. We will definitely be using Goodson in the future.

They are good people and they are not the cheapest ones in the world. It's a fair price but they do what they say they are going to do and they are timely and efficient. They know what they're doing and I like them.

He fixed the burnt plug and two additional plugs that we hadn't been able to use for a couple of years. Their response and their more than reasonable price sold me. I would use them again and again.
