I brought my 3 cats in for their yearly exam and shots. The staff was great about getting them all taken care of quickly and without stress. We were able to wait in an exam room away from an excited dog in the waiting area. When I checked-out I was super happy and surprised that my bill was a lot less than I expected for 3 cats. The nice young lady at the counter reminded me that my kitties had free vaccines. I enrolled in a vaccines for life program last year and had completely forgotten. Luckily, everyone was healthy. We've been going to this clinic for years and will definitely continue. Great staff and great experience.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!! I REPEAT....DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS TO THIS SHAME OF A ANIMAL HOSPITAL. THEY DESERVE NO STARS. THIS IS THE MOST HORRIBLE PLACE I HAVE EVER TAKEN AN ANIMAL OF MINE. THE SO-CALLED DR NEVER REMOVED MY CAT FROM HIS CARRIER DURING HIS 5 HOUR VISIT TO CHECK OUT HIS REAR LEG, WHICH IS WHY I BROUGHT HIM THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE. HE SHOULD HAVE HIS VET LICENSE TAKEN AWAY!! WHAT A HORRIBLE PLACE.

I take them there all the time. I took one in there on Thursday. We go there all the time. They know us well. Everybody is professional. They love the dogs. I don't think they like me, but they love the dogs. Its a wonderful place, it really is. They have good doctors and staff. Its a great animal hospital. We have been bringing our dogs to them since 2009. That is when we moved to Florida. When I moved here, we were renting an condo across the street from them.They have done excellent services. We rescue Dobermans. They have treated four Dobermans for us, since 2009. We take them there, and wouldn't take them any where else, unless it was an absolute emergency.

The job he did was fine, but he seemed sort of arrogant and I am not sure that having a wart removed with surgery was necessary. I got the impression that he would always choose the most expensive option.
However, what really bothered me was when I asked for an estimate of what it would cost to spay my other small dog, the estimate came to over $600. Also, the way it was presented seemed intended to make me feel like having to pay the whole thing because items such as pain killers were optional and removing them would defray the cost. They also quoted around $250 to clean her teeth during the surgery, which is the full cost of a cleaning, with no credit given for the fact that she was already under anesthesia. Because I thought the price was outrageous and because of the used car salesman attempt to manipulate me, I went elsewhere. I ended up having her spayed for $349, including the cleaning, which was $100 because she was already anesthetized. The pain meds and everything else were included in the cost.

Veterinarians are professional and helpful (especially Dr. Henley). Answers questions and explains procedures so you are knowledgeable and comfortable proceeding with recommendations. Gainesville Animal Hospital is an older buiding than the West location, however staff knowledge and professionalism is the same quality. Would definitely recommend to all.

Gainesville Animal Hospital has multiple veterinarians in their practice. the staff is very friendly. they are always looking for new cheaper ways to treat the animals. i will take my dog back to them again.
