when I was asking about the job to be done everything sounded good...the quote was given on line and it was good...job started in May...when they said it would start gave partial deposit and then when job was complete the remainder paid...everything seemed fine, no moisture in home at all and no signs of leaks and went through some rain...then all of a sudden the floors in different areas were getting wet and to a point of being soaked...then the vent over the stove started pouring water into the home...on the 3rd of September a repair man came and said the job was not done correctly and he fixed it...if any more leakage to call...then I called again and the president of the company came out and saw that there was no water marks on ceilings or on walls and said it was not the roof...after asking him to go up and please check the tiles he came down pretty quickly and said no sign of leakage .all looked good and he did not even know there was someone there two weeks before...now when there is rain with any wind the floors are still getting soaked...I called and some man told me to go up on the roof with a hose and put water down the vents...I could not believe that!!....I am an elderly woman and he wants me to go on the roof and put water down vents....the ridge and tiles were never checked and it is when it rains and wind that the water comes in....this problem was never before not until May...There was no ridge on the old roof....all I want them to do is to fix the problem which has to be with the ridge and tiles blowing up or maybe the nails SOMETHING IS DEFINITELY WRONG..you can put your hand in between the tiles at the door peak. .I now have to replace the flooring in the entire home plywood and vinyl.....this is very costly...I have had a lot of workers telling me it is the roof....handy men, plumbers, companies that do remolding...all saying it is the roof...as you can imagine I am very disappointed with a company that I thought would do a great job and most importantly stand by their work...I honestly feel they should do the replacing after fixing the problem.....very upset...

The roof was fine. But a few years later it developed a leak. Their office said they no longer repair roofs except, perhaps, for roofs they had installed. They said they would call back but never did.

Bill Duffield came out next day after my call to give an estimate. He went over all that I wanted and how it would be done. Described materials and I chose colors. He took care of all permits and setting up inspections. The job started when he said it would and the siding team of Mike and TJ Stalnaker were efficient, friendly, patient with explanations and did a great job on my 30 year old house. Mike also took down my ramp, rebuilt the stringers, steps and risers to the porch and replaced the ramp when new steps were painted. I needed this for future selling of house. Randy Makenzie was the painter for the front porch and was an expert. He matched the vinyl color and used deck paint for more durability on all rails, posts and deck. He pressure washed all first, and included soffits and whatever he could see that needed a good wash. He used 2 or more coats of paint to assure coverage and protection of the 30 year old wood. He was a real pleasure to talk with too. He has such a calm demeanor and really gets down to work at the same time. They also stopped the job for me to go on a prearranged trip for 10 days and restarted as soon as I came back. Bill D was so nice about that interruption and I really appreciate his attitude and business model. Thanx to all from Duffield Home Improvements for a very pleasant experience for this large job.
