Doug Porch Inc.

About 10 years ago we faced having to have our entire house resided because of a poor choice of materials by a previous owner. Being new in the community and not knowing who did good work and who did not I began to ask around. Several people gave me Doug Porch's name and when I began to ask around others recommended him highly. Those people who steered us in his direction had done us a huge favor. Since then he has built on an entire room -- foundation up -- for our adult children and done other projects for us. This most recent project was a small remodeling job on a house which we purchased to downsize. I had mentioned the possibility to Doug earlier but when I called and said "ready to go" he and his crew were there in three days. Doug was quick to point out what they could do -- most of it -- but what I could get done just as easily and possibly at less expense. He discussed our plans, looked at the room, made several absolutely superb suggestions. The crew, as in the past arrived on time, worked steadily, made as little mess as possible and cleaned up after themselves. As always they were pleasant, courteous, and respectful of my wife and I. The job came in a little below estimate and was done excellently. After 10 years and several projects we are sold. This is not the first time we have relied on Doug Porch and absolutely will not be the last.

This was not an easy job. To take off existing framing without destroying the surrounding boards. They did a great job and replaced the with cedar. They primed the back before installation to create a weather resistant barrier on all sides of the trim. Since not all windows needed replacement, they matched the remainder of the windows very well. They were quick, efficient, and did a beautiful job with a reasonable price.
