I love these guys. I've been going to these guys for 10 plus years and they are honestly an honest mechanic and I didn't know those existed.

We are new to the Gainesville area and were in need of a really good mechanic.  After an initial misstep with another mechanic in town, we decided to try City Auto.  The initial repairs done on my husband's vehicle were extensive.  Rachael and her team showed great perseverance and dedication to finding and fixing the problems.  We've recently taken our van to City Auto due to an oil leak.  They found the offending gaskets and replaced them.  They then cleaned the underside of the engine area.  We will continue to take our vehicles to City Auto Repair and recommend their shop without reservation!

Cost was fair, though standardized rates.

City replaced the radiator promptly and I've never had a problem with this work or any other. They have friendly service, and I've never had an issue with their promptness. They get done with your car when they say. Auto repair always costs more than you really want to pay, but I've never found their prices to be exorbitant.

iiiVisited the transmission facility and was very cordially welcomed.
Left the transmission shop to have lunch and was called with the status of the old transmission as we left restaurant.
Was advised by Ira that transmission/truck would be ready for p/u on the following Monday morning.
Was advised by Ira on Saturday morning that the transmission work was completed and ready for p/u.
We couldn't pick up until amonday morning.
Arrived on Monday morning and truck was parked outside. Took truck for test drive and was sastisfied that the transmission was doing great.
Went to office and made payment. Computers were down and Ira advised that he would send credit card bill via mail.
Credit card bill arrived 2 days later.
Ira explained the warranty and the facilities that could take care of any problems that might come up. Received warranty papers.
The shop was very clean, well lit, organized, and ready for additional vehicles that required transmission services.
Everything was orderly, very business like, and frieindly.
I will recommend Clay County Transmissions to any one that needs transmission service.

For one thing I had been told somewhere else that I needed a new transmission. It turned out not to be true and city auto just fixed what needed to be fixed. They were great. I also needed to know the name of a mechanic in another town where are daughter had just moved. I called them to see if they could recommend anyone. They didn't have a name but later in the day called back. They had taken the time to check with some friends and found me someone they trusted. I thought that was great. I can't say enough about them. I am never afraid I am going to be overcharged there. If they tell me it will cost a certain amount I know I can trust them.

This is the most honest mechanic I've ever dealt with! They offer a shuttle service as well, which I appreciate. They offer a 1 year warranty on their services. I cannot recommend then highly enough.
