Bob's Pet Sitting

Our beloved black Lab Baby passed away in 2012. For 6 years prior to Baby's death we called on Bob to take care of Baby while we were away. We always knew that not only was our dog well taken care of, but our home as well. Bob collected the mail and brought in the newspapers, The mail and papers were always stacked neatly with a detailed bill/note of how he spent time with the dog, It wasn't just a run in walk the dog and leave visit, Visits were multiple times per day.He played with baby, gave her good rubs and treated her like she was part of his family too. Our neighbors commented on how well he looked after Baby. During one vacation the smoke alarm went off from the battery giving out. That always drove Baby crazy. Bob called and asked where the extra batteries were. He retrieved a step ladder and changed the battery for Baby's comfort. Nothing but great things to say about Bob and his services.

I called several of the references Bob provided after we first met with him in our home and each had positive remarks to share with us about Bob's reliability and professionalism. He walked one of our dogs as I walked the other and it was clear that he has a commitment to ensuring the safety of his dogs. He provided harnesses for walks as he feels harnesses are the best method of dog control and comfort. After that first meeting and walk, we decided to proceed with hiring bob to provide in-home care for our two large dogs.
It seemed to go very well. Bob called us at least once each day with updates and when he arrived at our home for overnight care. He left our home in excellent condition, too: he was very respectful of our property and even though we left breakfast foods for him, he did not actually have anything to eat each morning!
Bob's services are reasonably priced. All in all we were pleased with our experience with Bob's Pet Sitting and would recommend him to others looking for a pleasant, reliable, and caring professional dog / house sitter.

Bob showed a lot of care in looking out for my cat. She was fed properly and interacted with both days. Bob left a report card detailing the outcome of each visit, how well my cat ate, and here general condition. Will definitely use again.

Bob has been petsitting for me since 2006. It's not just that he does petsitting but how he does the petsitting that keeps me calling him each time I need a petsitter. Bob accidentally spilled fish flakes on the carpet at one of the visits. He called me to find where the vacuum cleaner was stored so he could clean up the spill and the house would be clean when I returned. He notices things like when the canary needs to have his nails trimmed. He mentioned several years ago that he could trim Sunny's nails. I asked him to trim them when he visited this time. It's reassuring to know that his service is as good as his word. He gives me a reassuring call 2 days before the service to confirm he will be here. I don't worry when I am away for an extended time because I know that Bob will be giving Sunny quality service (Sunny sings for him and he whistles along) and ensuring that the goldfish are fed daily as promised.

It didn't go at alll. He never answered his phone!

I am new to Gainesville and needed a pet sitter. I found Bob listed on Angies list as well as on a national pet sitters list. Bob's references were great. He is very courteous and punctual. He looked after my cat for 9 days while I was away over Christmas. I told him I would call to check in and he ended up calling me first. He left thorough notes about his visits and the cat looked great upon our return. I will recommend him and definitely call upon his services in the future.

Bob is wonderful with the dog and goes above and beyond basic service by bringing in the newspaper and UPS deliveries etc... This is the at least the fourth time we have used the service and highly recommend it.

Bob is totally amazing!!! The very best catsitter I have ever had!!! I took a long trip to India. Both of my cats had symptoms of illness. Bob made sure they both got immediate medical attention. I don't know if Bob is an "animal psychic" or a "cat whisperer" but this man really knows my cats.Bob is the very best!!! It was obvious to me that Bob had spent a great deal of time paying attention to my cats.

We have 2 cats and he comes in for a visit and to feed them. He is very reliable. He always calls a day or so before to confirm the appt(s). He will also do a little extra (get the mail, bring in the trash can etc). He has even taken our cat to the vet while we were out. He is very organized.

My cats do not handle being kenneled well at all. My veterinarian suggested that I consider a pet sitter at home, and recommended Bob. I have been very pleased. When I come home from a trip, the cats are happy and calm - they react as if I've only been gone a couple of hours running errands! I love being able to travel without worrying about Spencer and Callie - I know they are happily being cared for (and spoiled) by "Uncle" Bob!

Excellent, customized service.

It is such a pleasure to travel with the knowledge that my animals are being looked after by someone so competent, compassionate and conscientious as Bob. He leaves messages about how they ate and behaved and provides recommendations when needed. It's reassuring to know that he is also checking on the house and removing any tell tail signs that I am away, such as large twigs that fall in the driveway.

Have used bob for 6 years. He is trustworthy and loves all animals.

Bob is a professional with an excellent record with us. He is available on short notice, reliable, able to determine if my animals have a problem. When I come home I can tell they have been given LOTS of attention, and are then expecting the same from me!
