frequent urinary tract infections. During our first visit, Dr. Gordon identified the bacteria and also diagnosed severe constipation and
spinal arthritis as sources of pain. The infection was treated successfully which probably added a few years to the life of our Sophie.
Dr. Gordon truly is a cat expert and could even tell me the specific physical weaknesses of Sophie's breed, when the previous vet couldn't even tell me WHAT breed the cat was.
When the cystitis was advanced and causing chronic pain, we decided, with Dr. Gordon's counsel, to put Sophie out of her misery. Dr. Gordon met us at her office on a Sunday morning to put the cat down. She was kind, patient, and gentle, and handled it all with such compassion.
I am certain that Dr. Gordon's expertise and attentive care added a few years to Sophie's life. I can never thank her enough.
My cat had chronic urinary irritation and was in constant pain. My previous vet tried two antibiotics, neither of which made any difference, and seemed out of ideas. Other cat owners recommended All Cats so I came here for a second opinion, and I am so glad I did! The doctor stayed in the office well past hours to take the time to diagnose my poor cat. She pinpointed the source of the infection, prescribed the correct antibiotic, and even took the time to take me to the back room to show me my cats x-rays. Turns out, my cat also has advanced arthritis down her spine, which may be what has caused some of the pain.
Bottom line, I was preparing myself to put our beloved cat down if we couldn't relieve her pain. I believe that All Cats saved her life. She is active, happy, eating well, and out of pain.
I am not sure how I feel about the previous well-intentioned vet totally overlooking the advanced arthritis or in taking so much time getting an accurate diagnosis for the infection. But, I am going nowhere but All Cats for my cat from now on.
Excellent service, excellent care. (I gave them a B on price, only because they didn't strike me as terribly expensive, but they weren't cheap either. I haven't done a complete comparison.)
I'll describe the last straw. In the first visit, All Cats recommended that we start our indoor-only cats on Heartgard. It seemed unnecessary, but we followed their recommendation out of precaution. All Cats tested the cats for heartworm and found them all negative. After pushing us to buy the Heartgard from them--at a sizeable markup, of course--they agreed to approve prescriptions through 1800Petmeds. Nine months later, I tried to refill the prescription and All Cats refused to approve it unless we took our cats back for exams every six months. It's a transparent attempt to earn more exam fees. I'd recommend taking your pets to the veterinary school.
Every visit to this clinic has left me satisfied and confident that my guys are getting the best health care possible. I love All Cats Healthcare and so do my cats. Well, OK, they don’t really love going to see a vet, but Dr. Gordon and Dr. Molstad are both wonderful with them. They have kept my cats in very good health and on those few occasions when a procedure or surgery was necessary the kitties came through wonderfully. They really do take fabulous care of the animals. They also explain everything very clearly so I can understand what’s going on and make informed decisions.
The entire staff here is friendly and helpful. And they were so very supportive and empathetic when my 17 year old reached the end of her life last year. I have occasionally boarded my cats with them when I had to be out of town unexpectedly, and the kitties came home perfectly calm and happy. Because the clinic is “cats only” my guys don’t get so stressed out in the waiting area. The clinic is in a delightful older house on 13th Avenue with a lot of character and charm. And you can tell they love cats because there are a number of adopted cats living right in the clinic.
I'm always very happy with their services and care. My cats have seen Dr. Gordon for about 10 years, I would not go anywhere else.
She spends a lot of time with the patient, doesn't try to sell you anything that your animal doesn't need, and always gives you the latest information in the veterinary field.
Her prices are fair and her staff is great.
The practice is in an old comfortable house with the live in cats wondering around.
Dr. Gordon and her staff are very professional and courteous and it's just a very comfortable place to be, as opposed to some of the modern, over the top high cost practices.
If you have a cat that you really care about, I couldn't think of a better, more comfortable place to take it.
