Bob & his team were recommended by McFall Builders and I can see why. They were very professional in removing the old units and installing the new ones. In fact the first floor unit was removed from the garage floor (It took up so much space my car would not fit in the garage) and installed over the entry door. They use wide filters which was important to control the dust as we renovated our home. They are available if a problem crops up and prompt to handle it. We appreciate them and are happy to recommend them.

I had been in their maintenance plan for years. That meant they came by twice annually to service units so that they would stay in good working order. It also meant that if something went wrong especially at night or on a weekend they would come out but not charge you the higher rate. I never called until recently when my AC went out in the evening. They refused to come out at the lower rate because I had flipped my breaker switch which I was told could have made the problem worse. I had also replaced the thermostat myself as that was not working and flipping the breaker switch off was the first step in the instructions. I ended up hiring another company to come out and make repairs. It turns out it was due to a clogged water line in the system. This line should have been cleaned regularly during the bi-annual servicing. So the problem was caused not by me or anything I did or did not do but in fact by something A+ did or rather did not do. Too bad because up until this point I would have given them high marks and in fact had recommended them to others. However, when they made up excuses why they wouldn't honor their deal after years of payment it all went downhill. Certainly not deserving of the grade they claim in their name.

The breaker had nothing to do with us not coming out, it was the fact that you had tried to repair it for awhile and even changed the thermostat (which was not the problem) then did not want to pay anything. Sorry if you think was unfair but as a company we can not warranty or diagnose customer repairs and/or replacements. As you write your opinions please do not change the story to your benefit, we take great pride in taking care of our customers."

The first day we moved into the house, the air conditioning went out. It was a motor that burned out. We bought the best of systems, highly efficient and all that good stuff. The cost was $9600 but they gave me a $900 credit card that I could spend on anything. They hauled away the old units. They also had to redo the concrete slab because the new unit would not fit on old slab.

The crew of 3 men were very professional and polite. After the work was completed, they swept the entire garage and even coiled the water hose they used. Owner came over and fully programmed and explained how to use the new thermostat. The crew showed up on time and called ahead before they arrived. I selected this company because they are a factory authorized dealer for the brand unit I wanted. Also, they were the only company out of the 4 that gave me quotes that followed up with a phone call.

It went very well.  They came out to find out what was wrong which only took about 5-10 minutes and before leaving our house the part was ordered and they were out the next day to fix it.  He was here for less than 20 minutes, mother boards were switched out, made sure all the components were working and even turned on the ice maker water line on under the house for us!  He was very professional and did a great job.  We really appreciated it. (Luckily we had a deep freezer so we didn't lose much of our food) :)

A+ Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Inc. did an excellent job from start to finish.  They first provided a written estimate, with various options, and discussed each carefully with  me.  As we were without AC (in August in FL), they provided next day installation. Their staff was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional.  The President/Owner of the company visited my house to provide the written estimate and also visited two times during the installation process (beginning and end).. I was given an informative lesson in operating the system, including the programmable thermostat. A few days after installation a follow-up visit was performed and a bound, customized packet of all  the model numbers, estimates, receipts, rebate forms, and owners manual was delivered to me. They did all product registration and also prepared the appropriate rebate form for the utility company.  I was very pleased with A+ and would gladly recommend them to others.

A+ Air Conditioning gets an A++++++++++++++++ !!!  Above and beyond service in every respect from beginning to end.  Already with the very first meeting we all had a really good impression of what this company was going to be like.  No sales tactics just flat out honesty.  We got the clear sense that they are organized, knowledgeable and confident about what they do.  We truly felt like we were in good hands.  Before signing with A+, we had quite a few questions and always received nice and prompt communications.  Work began on time exactly as we were told and the crew worked all day each day keeping all work areas nice and straight.  Any work completed inside the house, was always left clean....we would've never known they were there had we not seen them.  Everyone from the owner, office manager, and crew...were nice as could be and very polite. They have a 'No Surprise Guarantee' - once the work starts, the price quoted is the price you pay, even if the job entails more work than estimated.  This guarantee really put us at ease.  You can imagine the surprises that were found in a 38 year old house and removing 38 year old systems, things that weren't visable until they started working.  A+ held to that guarantee MORE THAN ONCE!!!  They even fixed our clothes dryer duct, which unbeknownst to us was disconnect from the outdoor exhaust .  At the end of installation, everything was cleaned up and each system explained very clearly to us....ex: where the filters are, how the controllers work, etc., etc.  The installations were all tight, neat and clean...this clearly is a company of perfectionists.  A+ also handled all product registrations.  We received a beautifuly orgainzed and detailed bound portfolio on the entire project including for each of the three systems : detailed Service Invoices, Product Registration Details showing proof of registration, Certificate of Product Ratings, the Alachua County Inspection Sheet, the Preventive Maintenance Agreement, and information on the A+ Comfort Club their maintenance savings plan. 
What can we say, A+ Air Conditioning & Refridgeration is a great company and you won't be disappointed. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!!

He found a bad capacitor and replaced it. I was lucky that the compressor had not burned up. He was done within 30 minutes. Awesome job! And my little dog Budda liked him too. type of "freon" was being phased out. SEER rating
of old system was now on the lowest end of new systems.
New System SEER efficiency rating much higher. One of

All went as was planned. Minor glitches so far has been w/ the
System. The company response time has continued to be
Excellent even on weekends!

The technician called ahead to confirm the time they would be at my place.  There were there on time and proceeded to efficiently check my interior and exterior components of my AC unit.  No problems were found, and the tech offered advice on measures that can be taken maintain the unit.  I was also informed of parts that may need replacement in future visits.  The tech was professional and courteous throughout the process.  The cost of service includes a second check of the unit in the Fall.

The service technician, Rick Glisson, is the best. My appointment was for 8:30 am. Rick called at 8:15 am to say good morning and provide me with an arrival time.

Rick arrived at the house. He provided me a big smile and a friendly hand shake. Rick then explained the services that he was going to provide on this visit.

8:35 am

Rick promptly went to work on checking my furnace. .

Rick came into the house and explained what he had found on the furnace check.

Rick then began checking the air conditioner. It was very cold on this day so Rick explained that he would not be having the air conditioner run to cool the house since this would be detrimental to the unit in which it would cause the unit to freeze up.

Rick had completed a check on the thermostat. Everything was A okay!

Rick provided me with an itemized receipt. He again explained all the services that he provided on this visit. Rick also provided me with the bill for the next years maintenance agreement and when the payment would be due.  







Rick has been the service technician for us for the past 3 years. He is always friendly and happy to answer any questions that I may have regarding any service that he provided on that visit. I would recommend A+ Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, INC.

I look forward to receiving a call each fall and spring to schedule my appointments. I have never had a bad experience with the scheduling procedure either.

This is the third time for A+ to come to the house. I just love them all  the way from the office manager to the technician that comes to the house. Of which I might add he has been the only person who has serviced our air conditioner. I think that is a great trait of the company, it provides continuity of service.
The tech was so nice that I look forward to him coming because I know that he not only does a great job but is professional in every sense of the word.

At first we were disappointed that our regular company could not come on the weekend but have been very impressed  with the professionalism of A+.  When they came Saturday pretty promptly after our initial call, they informed us that what we thought was wrong (just the thermostat) was not the issue.  It was our indoor heating/cooling unit which they suspected had been hit by lightning.  They gave us a list of options of what it might take to fix it depending on the extent of the damage and left a detailed quote listing the options.  Due to the age of our unit, parts would not be available until Monday.  They contacted us Monday morning confirming they had the parts for our unit and stated what time range they would be at the house.  They arrived almost to the minute at the beginning of the time range and looked very professional and made appropriate introductions.  Luckily for us the solution was the least expensive of the options we might have had to look at.  They showed us the damage (burnt control board) and the replacement board solved our a/c issue.  They seemed to know exactly what they were doing and were very clear in their explanations and communication to us.  We will certainly use them again for any a/c issues.

It went wonderful!  When they came to access the modification I wanted they suggested a better (and cheaper) solution to my issue.  When they came to do the work, they called before coming, were ontime and very professional.  They prepped the area well and quickly installed the new features. They even cleaned up after themselves! We just bought this house, so they even gave me a lesson on how to program my system.

Had them out to replace the UV unit over the evaporator coil. Tech noticed a switch was getting corroded, also pointed out I needed to keep an eye on the drain so leaves didn't bury it. Had him replace switch. He was helpful, not pushy or trying to upsell. Punctual, reasonable and professional. The tech also added that the UV light didn't need to be replaced annually and to just monitor the bulb.

I have a service contract with A+ to check my heating/AC twice a year.  The service techs always call ahead to let me know when they expect to arrive.  The technicians are always friendly and professional, and repairs are performed quickly.  The equipment inspections are always thorough and done in a reasonable amount of time.  With the service contract I also receive a discount on parts and can get service on Saturdays at no additional charge.
