Did not show up when promised, repeatedly did not answer calls, workmen bad attitude and language. Work still not completed

NEVER NEVER USE HIM.
The person that I contracted to build
my pool, Keith Dermody, I have come to have marked concerns about his business
practices. Including:
He REFUSES to give me releases from
the contractors that have done work on my pool that I have already paid him for.
I have already paid him $20,250. He will not even tell me their names. But the
paver people refuse to come back and do other work, so I really wonder if he has
he paid them.
When I hired him he told me that he
had never had a complaint with the state about his license. I have looked up on
the state  web site and see an incident
from last year where it lists a violation and his license was suspended.. Number 2012031357. I feel that someone who
refuses to pay their child support is not an ethical person, he even told me,
after I hired him, of course, that he refused to pay child support.
Before I hired him, he told me that
the only thing he subbed out was "shooting the shell", otherwise his
company did everything in house.  Later I
found out, he has had no employees that all subcontractors show up to do any
work at my house. This was a major factor in me hiring him, and a MAJOR
untruth. It appears to me that his "company" consists of himself and
his girlfriend and they clean pools.
He told me the other day that he "found"
some paver people and he would send them over to do my pavers. This has been
the ?quality? of all his subs.
The first paver people he sent, their
boss left the job and I speak only limited Spanish, they laid under one of my
trees and on some ceramic tiles that I had bought to put down on a kitchen.
Obviously, while they laid on them, they broke some of them. Now I do not have
enough tiles to do the kitchen and I can not match those, so I have to buy
enough for the entire kitchen. There has been no supervision on any of the subs
for the most part. I did not sign on to be the construction foreman.
I told him that I was going to report
him to the better business bureau, he said to go ahead he has had lots of
complaints, but he can always explain those away. He seems to be very good at
making up excuses.
He also told me that he was going to
try and convince the screen gentleman to put up my pool cage without waiting
for the permit to go through. The screen company owner is an ethical person so
both he and I said that was not going to happen without the permit.
There are also pictures of fabulous
fountains on his website on his photo gallery, that I feel is a fraud as he did

There are other things that have happened
also, but with all of this I believe his license should be revoked.
Lastly, just now two unkempt old men
showed up walking around my property in what looked to me to be a beat up old
truck. I asked what they were doing, they said Keith sent them to pick-up the
pavers that had to be taken up (another story about how he had put down pavers
that didn?t match, as he said the company would pay to have them removed and
re-put down, I thought that was a scam, why not just getting matching ones to
start with? Why bill someone for something that was not necessary? Well, back
to the men, I asked if they had insurance and workers comp. as the pavers were
heavy. They said, ?lady you ask too many questions?. I told them to leave, as
they were driving away, one of the stuck up his middle finger. A really top
notch quality company that Keith runs NOT!!
I would NEVER USE HIM AGAIN.
