TruGreen Lawn Care - 5108

.Have had them working my lawn for about 3 years trying to maintain a green, continuous coverage.  As of this date the straw that breaks the camels back happened.  
Throughout the winter I have been watching weeds vanish from my lawn after the last few applications of chemicals.  As of now even the grass is vanishing to the point that 3 years ago I had a lawn now I have dust/dirt holes looking more like a sand lot.  Looking at pictures a couple of years ago I can see green grass where now I have empty spots of dirt.  No joke neighbors are complaining to home owners association about the dirt.  Maybe green paint should be applied.  All other neighbors have either lush lawns or green colored stuff growing.  All I have is dirt growing.
The application of insect killer worked well too!.  Hugh tunnel tracks from moles hunting for insects to eat.  And birds loved the buffet of insects too.  Worked real well neighbors said i had more birds on my front dirt this year then they ever saw.
Your choice as to whom you use but unless the lawn is returned this matter will be settled in court!.

I signed up for the most intensive service they could provide in an attempt to get a perfect (or at least high quality) lawn.  I continued with the service for about 2 solid years.  While there were no major problems, my lawn continued to show flaws despite  the expensive service.  I think they prevented my lawn from deteriorating and maintained it well, but never did much to improve it.  Paying $60 a month is just way too expensive for what you get.  I now spend about $60 on fertilizer myself (usually twice a year) at Lowe's and can't notice the difference compared to their treatment.
One thing that annoyed me was they called me every few months with a sales pitch to try to add an additional service (and double my service fee) to treat my shrubs.  A friendly offer is one thing, but the guy usually had a hard time taking no for an answer which I really don't need to waste my time arguing with a salesman, especially if I'm already paying them.

After a few months, we noticed our lawn was started to look worse, but assumed it was because all of the weeds were dying and it was just less green.  The lawn continued to look worse every month to the extent that our neighbors came over to ask what was going on and asked us if we were using a company.  When we told them that we were using TruGreen, they said they also use to use TruGreen and had the same issues with them.  Apparently, whatever chemicals/"fertilizers" they use are too strong causing chemical burns.  Our lawn/grass is completely decimated now -- the ground is barren with only a few weeds, the oak trees (70+ years old!) became infested with bugs, and our palm trees and ornamental shrubs are dying! I will never use TruGreen again and wouldn't trust them within 100 yards of my yard. We now have spend $100s-$1000s (if we choose to resod) to repair our lawn from their damage.

They do a good job at caring for your lawn. That is all I have ever had them do for me is lawn care.  Fertilizer, pests and weed control.  The only problem I have with TruGreen is that there is no contact by phone with the people in your town that care for you lawn. You have to call an 800# when you have issues or question's and you get a person sitting in a cubicle in another state. This is really annoying at times because they have no idea and do not really care what you are trying to tell them. Which the normal response is "I will forward your question or concern to the appropriate people and they will get back to you in a couple of days".

I had a very bad experience with them. They burned my grass. It started disappearing in spots. They are also forceful with their sales.

We started the services in April and so far it is going OK, although we are not yet seeing the results that we were promised. I was surprised at how quick the guy said we would see huge improvement so at this time I am not shocked that we are not seeing a big difference. The yard certainly looks better than it did but I am not sure it looks like the huge difference we were told we would see. Time will tell.

It always goes well. I never have any trouble with them. They come out every month in a half.

We are very happy with their services. I give them an "A" overall.

They sprayed for weeds and applied fertilizer the last time they were here.  I am happy with their service, but have temporally dropped them because of the cost.  I will call them back in the future.

They said they would have someone out in 2 or 3 days. We left for vacation for 3 weeks and when we returned we noticed our entire lawn was destroyed. We called the company and they said they actually came out and treated our lawn. They argued with me and was very rude. He insinuated I was stupid. I could not get this man to come out to look at our property. Finally after 3 months, I got the man to come out to our property. His face dropped when he arrived. He immediately picked up his telephone and called the technician. I asked the man to speak with the technician to make sure they were working on the correct home. They were working on another house the entire time and our yard was entirely destroyed! For the next 3 months, they said they would treat our lawn. We have an unbelievable horribly looking lawn. Again, this company did the wrong person's house for the last 3 months. This company provided services for the wrong house twice! We lost our lawn and palm trees. We also had a horrible ant problem because our lawn was now entirely sand and weeds instead of grass. Tru Green hired another landscaper to help with the situation. This individual was also horrible. The landscaper took a roto-tiller and destroyed more of our lawn. He tried to install sod at 5:30 pm and started to lay sod in the evening. We went out the next morning and I could put my entire foot in between the spaces of sod. To this day, we do not let anyone play in our backyard. The bottom line is after over 1 and 1/2 years of trying to fix the lawn they ruined, we let them know never to return. The only way our lawn can be fixed was to cut our lawn out and began again.
