The Door Factory

My experience with this company has been very frustrating. From the beginning, they did not inform me clearly about all the materials and requirements necessary for the installation of the doors. As a result, at the time of installation, setbacks arose that could have been avoided with better communication. In addition, the final work did not meet my expectations: the installation was poorly finished and does not look professional. When I tried to communicate my disagreements, I did not get a satisfactory solution. I would not recommend this company if you are looking for a serious, transparent and quality service.

SCAMMERS. DON'T GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY FOR DOORS TWICE. They are refusing to replace my doors and the warranty was voided because they cut my doors down, they did not tell me this voids the warranty otherwise I WOULD HAVE NEVER PURCHASED HERE. Claims because I put a black finish on the door I cant have warranty no where on their website or PLASTPROS warranty does it state that. I TOLD HIM FROM DAY ONE I WAS PLANNING ON DOING A DARK BROWN/ BLACK FINISH...... REFUSUAL TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AFTER 2 YEARS IVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES ON THE DOORS SINCE 1 MONTH INTO INSTALLATION. THE 4,000 HARDWARE I PURCHASED FROM THEM -EMTEK- IS ALL FALLING APART FINISH IS COMPLETELY GONE (ALSO DOESN'T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY). Not only do they refuse to take responsibility he wants me to pay LOL 4500 dollars to re-install doors and has given me the run around since OCTOBER OF LAST YEAR TO TAKE ANY ACTIONS.... these doors CONSTANTLY have issues The doors ARE NOT functional the install is so bad they dont open/close properly or lock. I PAID 24K FOR DOORS AND CANNOT EVEN LOCK THEM OR USE THEM HOW EMBARRASSING IS THAT. Their demeanor and they have the audacity of blaming me because of the finish I have for the doors LOL WHEN YET OTHER COMPLAINTS SHOW HOW UNETHICAL THEY ARE. These doors are literally falling off the hinges. These are suppose to be impact doors they are ABSOLUTE TRASH. Because of the cuts they did the doors are completely expanded and un-useable. Now I have to hire an attorney just to get my money back, and wait for them to reimburse me over 20,000 dollars for the lowest quality impact doors south Florida has to offer. Not only is the finish not included with your purchase but they are very sneaky and shady I would NEVER do this to anyone in my life. I wouldn't recommend this company even to my worst enemy. YOU ARE A TERRIBLE COMPANY AND SHOULD BE ASHAMED. NOT TURN KEY, EXPENSIVE, OVER PRICED, BAD QUALITY. 24,000 DOLLARS DOWN THE DRAIN. Thanks a lot Lenny.

The owner and his son will take your money with a smile when you're placing an order with them. But after that brace yourself for the rudest encounter of your life. I placed an order for doors that cost nearly $5I with them. Three weeks past the promised installation they started to give me the run around. When I returned to the store to try to get them to some answers, the owner and the son tried to get into a physical altercation with me. When I asked for my money back, they threatened to throw me out of the store with an offer to take with me whichever doors the happen to have on hand, and I could look for someone to install at an additional. What was more insulting was that they didn't care if those doors would fit or not. I literally had to beg them to honor the agreed upon contract and send someone over with the to install them. Hard to believe that I paid nearly $5I for a service and to be treated in such a fashion. Eddy

Great! The guys there worked with me to pick out doors from a huge selection. There were more choices than I thought I'd have to make, but they helped me figure it out. I had the doors delivered which made things much easier for me too. The doors fit perfectly. These guys were great to work with - I would use them again.

Had a great experience at The Door Factory!  I am a first time home buyer and am totally lost when it comes to these things, but everyone there was friendly and extremely helpful. All the work was done as promised and I couldn't be happier! Would recommend! 

Excellent customer service!   Great price, great service.   Lenny is very knowledgeable and helpful.  
His suggestions were perfect and he knew exactly what we needed.  
The installer was so wonderful---professional and paid attention to detail.  He adjusted everything so the doors were perfect, in both performance and appearance.  I'm very happy with my experience and I would use them again.  I have already recommended them to several people.

I went to The Door Factory and was walking around when Lenny approached me.  He asked all kinds of questions about my doors and my house and made recommendations I wasn't even thinking about (sun exposure, rain damage, hurricane preparedness).  When I chose the doors (outside and inside), Lenny let me know that he would have to swing by my house to measure and he did.  He arrived a few minutes ahead of schedule and took the measurements.  The doors were ordered and came in on time and they even delivered them to my home.  What an easy way to buy doors.  It was nice to work with them and each one of them, even the driver, Aaron, I think, was professional and courteous.  I would do business with them again and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs any doors.

I dealt with Nick, the owner. He appeared nice at first, but a rude person he really is. Calls go un-returned. Nick forgets what he promises. He would confuse me with someone else. The installers complain that installation quote was too low. They, too, don't follow up with their calls.
After four weeks of waiting I went to the showroom to inquire about my order only to be confronted by Nick and his son who threatened to call the police and get me thrown out of their showroom. He also threatened to to kick my a**. When I asked them to give me my $1,500 deposit back if they can't deliver and install the doors. Nick replied " f**k no."  I have no idea how this situation will play. 
STAY AWAY FROM THOSE PEOPLE. YOU'LL HAVE A BETTER EXPERIENCE AT A FLEA MARKET.

The guys at The Door Factory were patient while I mulled over a huge choice of options. They also worked around my changing vacation schedule, waiting 5 weeks until I returned. The installer, Louis, came on time with the doors and all hardware and tools to do the job. And what a great job he did! The doors look great and function perfectly. They passed inspection without any negative comments by the city inspector. The only sour note: The Door Factory charged the balance to my credit card before installation began. Otherwise a great experience.

Professional did what they said they would.

We had 2 sets of custom French Doors and one custom cabana door installed. Although, The Door Factory will say that they do not subcontract out they in fact do. Our experience has been terrible and I wouldn't buy/recommend anything from The Door Factory .

We visited the showroom off Oakland Park Blvd. They have an extensive selection of doors and hardware on display. Manufacture and installation was aprox. 8 weeks. Installation by their contractor was $800 and took 5 hours.

Found their prices to be lower than their competetors for the same product. Was very pleased with the serice we received from them. The installation crew did a fantastic job, cleaning as they went along, arrived at precisely the time they said they would and were professional.
Would definately use this company again and refer my friends and neighbors.

Ordered a simple steal slab with glass insert door. The price was comparable to Home Depot. The plastic trim holding the glass in the door was very warped, bowing out as much as 1/8and quot; away from the slab. Despite numerous calls and promises from the Door Factory that they would replace the warped trim, they never did.

Second door was a special order and quot;art glassand quot; insert that took 3 months to arrive. This door too had warped trim. After many calls, they testily agreed to send someone out to replace the trim. The installer arrived several hours late with the wrong trim. Two weeks later he returned and replaced the trim and commented that the frame should be replaced, so I agreed to have him replace the frame. Two more weeks later he replaced the frame, and now the front door is crooked. All further phone calls to the installer and the Door Factory have been ignored by them.

Not the professionalism you would expect or that you paid for.

They were fine. They were just a little pricey. It was a generally decent experience other than the pricing.

their installer, echocare, inc., was wonderful. he took care of the building permit, and installed the door. and he painted it as well. granted that installing a new door is a very messy ordeal, he made it the least messy that he could, and cleaned up after himself nicely. the door is beautifull and works perfectly. we are quite pleased.

They were great. I was very happy with them. The owner himself came out, and measured and he discussed with me the different options. The mail slot and what finishes I wanted. He followed up after it was done and made sure I was satisfied. The person that came and did it was very neat and good.

I PURCHASED TWO DOORS. WHEN THE INSTALLER CAME TO INSTALL THE DOORS, ONE WAS NOT THE SAME AS I ORDERED. IT WAS DAMAGED AS WELL. THE COMPANY HAS BEEN VERBALLY ABUSIVE TO ME. THE INSTALLATION WAS HORRIBLE AND WHEN I TOLD THE COMPANY THAT I COULDN'T GET A HOLD OF THE INSTALLER THEY TOLD ME IT WAS MY PROBLEM, EVEN THOUGH THEY SENT HIM. THEY WERE ON TIME WITH THE ORIGINAL DELIVERY OF THE DOORS. THAT IS THE ONLY POSITIVE ASPECT OF DEALING WITH THEM.
