Village Mover

We did a long distance move from Florida to Michigan. Many people recommended this company so we gave them our move. What a horrible mistake that turned out to be. Soooo many items were damaged. They used no pads, no wrap. They said it doesn't help and we are pros trust us.. they made a sacrificial hand out to cover the damages we knew of. However we are finding so much more damage as we go through arranging our home in the weeks since we've moved. Our bed, our rocker, t.v's. It's unbelievable the amount of items they damaged. Now we are talking with our lawyer to possibly bring a lawsuit against this place. Beware, do your homework and don't be fooled by the nonchalant, easy go lucky attitude of how the cover ups take place. Pictures will follow. Buyer beware!!!!!! Here are a few examples

They were on time. Moved quickly but did not shrink wrap as I was told they would do.  Lots of things with scrapes and nicks.  Lost one thing that I cannot replace and never got back to me on it. Lots of things put in garage that should have gone in house.  All boxes were marked.  I was ok with move and they did have to wait between packing and unloading but I feel $900 covered that.  They were short one helper but that is not my fault!!

EXCELLENT ! I am not one to rave about service providers but this company deserves it. I called to schedule the move and Mike was able to schedule the job immediately...that day! I wasn't really ready but went ahead cuz My stuff has been in storage for a year and I wanted it. Lol. My actual movers were Clint, Nick and Shawn. I can not compliment them enough. They took great care of my stuff, were efficient and very friendly. They were even kind enough to wait for me to put felt floor pads on the furniture before they placed it. They also helped me move a few pieces around until I was happy with the placement. I have already referred them and if I ever move again I know who I am calling.

The two gentlemen working for Village Mover, James and Tucker, moved my mom's furniture with great care and consideration. They were professional, punctual, polite, considerate and very careful with mom's furniture.  The furniture was removed from her home, transported across state, and moved into her new apartment without incident or damage to her home, furniture or apartment.  The estimated cost is exactly what was charged; no gimmicks, no surprises, no hassles.  We would certainly use Village Mover again and highly recommend them.  Thank you gentlemen for a job extremely well done!!!

Nick and Clint showed up on time and were very friendly and professional. They asked for a quick review of what my move entailed and what my concerns and expectations were and then they were off and running. Nick and Clint were very efficient and extremely careful with my belongings. They were so helpful that they didnt even mind that I held them up a bit by putting furniture pads on the feet as they brought-pieces into the house. I was very impressed with their professionalism and would not hesitate to use them again !

They were good. They were punctual; they showed up when they said they would give us an estimate. The pricing was very fair and they did a good job with moving.

Mike, the oener, as well as James, Travis, and Nick were spectacular. It was a very positive experience. They moved all of my things efficiently without damaging anything.

My mother had a nice chest made out of pinewood and they really scratched it up. When they showed up they already had furniture in the truck and said they weren't sure if it would all fit. Overall they just didn't do a great job. Also, they had no mover quilts or blankets to protect the items. They just seemed a little inexperienced is all. 

Three movers showed up and quickly got to work after assessing the items.  They were very methodical in loading the truck and were able to pack it tightly; however, due to the amount of items it still took 2 trips and caused for a very long day.  They worked well into the night and managed to move everything and only damaged a light switchplate at the initial home while moving a piece of furniture down the stairs. Nothing else was damaged and they were very careful in moving the pieces through the doorways and up the stairwell. I did feel the price was a little on the high side, but they did work very hard. All in all it was a positive experience and I could see using them again in the future...though I don't plan on moving again anytime soon!

Two man team showed up exactly on time, worked hard to load all the items selected, and unloaded as specified. They took care to stay within  the 3 hour contracted time.

They were all around excellent. There was nothing to complain about. We would absolutely use them again in the future.

Very responsive and set move date. However, date of move has changed and we rescheduled for a future date.
