They charged $89.00 svc. fee and $167.00 more for 10minutes of work. Ridiculous!

They found some problems that they fixed. They do good quality work, prices are reasonable. They give me an honest opinion on repairs and what is needed. If they can fix it they will fix it instead of replacing it until its absolutely needed. The work probably took two hours or less.

Prior to calling Mills, we had 2 other companies in the local area come out and "fix" our a/c. It had been having all sorts of issues and the first company that came out told us it was the outside unit. A few weeks later we started having the same issues again. So we called the 2nd a/c company and they told us it was something with the inside unit. A few weeks later we had even more issues. We called Mills and they came out and noticed that the repairs that were done by the previous company were done incorrectly as well as showing us the tubing/pipe for the furnace was cracked right open (dangerous!) that neither company prior to Mills had brought to our attention. Long story short, they took the entire inside unit out, cleaned it all out as well as re-doing the previous company's mess up. They also replaced the outside unit because it blew up. It was an expensive job BUT, up until this point we have had so many issues with our a/c and the company's that we were calling out were not really looking for the issues that were truly wrong with our units. Mills came in and fixed all of it and we have not had any issues since then.

We have used Mills for 12 years.  The installers are quite knowledgeable, courteous and prompt.  We just replaced
our entire HVAC system:  air, furnace and thermostat.  I worked with salesman Robert Smith who was most helpful in getting the exact unit that I needed.  Our furnace is in a small closet so with his help, I selected a Carrier unit that meets all of my needs. The installer Josh was excellent and his work was very professional.  We upgraded to the wifi thermostat and it can be programmed from my smartphone.  We are most pleased not only with the equipment but also with the customer service and
professionalism of Mills.

They were supposed to have installed a heat pump but instead only installed a cooling unit.  I would not recommend them to anyone. I would advise others to stay away from them completely.

A Year ago, my AC quit in the middle of the summer here in sultry Florida.  The company doing repairs replaced the freon and got my system up and running.  They told me then that this unit was on its last leg and told me of the extensive corrosion and decay of the 14 year old system.
Fast forward to now, and the system again quit.  This time while I was out of town with my daughter new to town.  I got online viewing Angie's list and researched replacement units.  Mills Heating and Air came up time and again for quality and dependability.  They were also listed by the 3 brands as a qualified dealer which I considered as a replacement.  (Lennox, Trane, and Carrier)
I called Jon Stephens when they opened in the morning and we talked over options.  He sent a repair team out to find the problem, and we then continued with pricing replacement systems.  Bad motors, low freon were my problem this time.  Mills priced the 3 different makes and I chose Lennox for their new advanced Heat Pump unit with an air condition rated at 20.5 SEER.  My currrent system was a 10 SEER, that when tested, was operating at approximately 6 SEER.    The decision was a no brainer  for me.  Between rain storms, an array of people showed up and removed and installed my new system in a day.  I was more than happy with their professionalism and with their wanting to find out what I wanted out of a new system.   The old system was corroded and rusted beyond my imagination.  I have no idea how it worked as long as it did.  The new Lennox will be taken care of much better.
Thanks to John and the rest of the crew for their professional installation and service

On 24 Oct, a Fri, began the onerous task of seeking proposals to replace my two HVAC zoned systems. Dreading the process. Went to several sources, including a few 'fly-by-niters'. Doing my due diligence. Response by the Mill's company was fastest and best. Prices actually in line with entities with far less overhead (read: FBN'ers). And for top-of-the-line equipment. Lennox. After reviewing and accepting their proposal (by Paul), the gear was ordered and in town, ready for installment, by Wednesday. Very impressive. Two well-trained, clean, polite, and focused crews arrived at the appointed hour on Thursday. Worked hard all day. Cleaned up every scrap of evidence.... and vanished by Miller time. We're back in business. Comfortable again. Less than a week beginning to end. Because of these pro's. Very possibly the best contractor experience of my ancient life. Recommended.

He was a very nice man. We were happy with him. He did quite well and he did not try to overcharge us, and he didn't try to tell us something was wrong when it wasn't. He just made a few adjustments and that was the end of it. My husband was pleased with the price. He thought it was a good price. He took care of our business and didn't waste a lot of time. He answered all our questions. We didn't get a specific time, just that he would be here during the afternoon, and he did come in the afternoon.

Very pleasant experience from start to finish.  My house had two 14 year old Trane systems (installed and maintained by Mills).  The one unit developed a leak in the coil inside the air handler.  Repairs were estimated to be $2,000 on a 14 year old system.  I decided to get a new system.  The sales consultant, Paul, was very knowledgeable and provide several estimates.  I decided on another Trane system.  In order to elevate the outside compressor, Mills removed the compressor on Friday and gave me the weekend to build the stand.  Early Monday morning they arrived, removed the inside unit, and installed the new system.  The install team of Craig and Alan were very professional and were done by lunch time.  The heating element inside the new air handler was dead on arrival (don't really need heat in May) and a new one was ordered.    The new one was installed by Domonic, who has worked at my house before and is a pleasure to work with.  He took the time to double check all of the settings on the new system and thermostat and everything is working fine.  I have had a working relationship with Mills for over 30 years (Kenny Mills actually worked on my house way back when ...).  With my house and rental properties, I have six systems installed and maintained by Mills.  I strongly recommend them.

1st problem- The a/c unit in my vacation condo was overflowing into the utility closet. The technician came out and cleaned the drain pipe. When it happened again he told me that the unit was old and needed to be replaced which I did. Within a couple weeks the utility closet was flooded again. It turns out that the main drain for the entire building was the problem, not my unit. Ok, so the ac unit was old, but i probably could have gotten another year out of it. 2nd problem - 6 months later, I'm getting calls from my weekly guests saying that the furniture is wet, and they can't sit on it. After having the maintenance man search everywhere for leaks, I finally called The Mills rep who had sold me my a/c. He came over and said that the humidity level was 73% and that it was probably the guests fault for leaving the door open. He recommended they turn the a/c down really low for a day or 2. The furniture remained wet, and My next guests were not happy. Called and got the on call tech who came out on a holiday weekend. Turns out that the TXV was failing, and the a/c wasn't dehumidifying. I had to call the owner to get one installed sooner than the 3-5 days that was quoted. Now he is saying that it wasnt the ac, it is a gap in the sliding doors. I called a door repair company who says there is nothing wrong with the doors, nothing to fix. Oh, and everything dried out within hours of the part being replaced. Hmmm. Current Tally: $3500 a/c unit, $2500 new furniture (unsalvageable from being wet for 3-4 weeks), $300 in refunds to unhappy guests. Electric bill - unknown at this time. Confidence in Mills - 0 Everyone has been very pleasant, lots of yes ma'ams, but I'm not very happy with how much money I have had to spend unneccessarily, and feel as though Mills or Carrier should reimburse me for the damage to my furniture.

We have a service agreement with Mills. While traveling to our vacation home, we asked a neighbor to turn our A/C down so the house would be cooler upon our arrival. The A/C was not running. We started calling Mills right away around noon Friday. The phone went straight to a busy signal for approx 3 hrs. We had to call a different contractor, who responded quickly. We had to pay overtime rates for a very, very simple problem that would have been covered under our service agreement. We will not renew the service agreement .

They were very professional, top notch, had a bad experience with another local merchant and they tried to sell me a coil and upon inspection with these guys, it wasn't needed. I'm glad we had their sticker on our fridge.

I called at 8 am on Monday and they were there at 10 am.
My compressor in handler had froze up, low on freon.
I knew I needed a new unit. Robert came back twice with information and comparison on units to buy.
I had 3 other people same day bidding on units.
Mills gave me the best price and was able to afford a TRANE unit, which I feel is the best unit to buy
They were not as high as other bids.
Sent service tech at 6 pm to put freon in unit to hold me over for the night.
They will be here tomorrow to put my new Trane AC unit in
Robert is very polite, friendly and went out of his way to help me
I even called later with questions and responded immediately after leaving a voicemail.
