The service was excellent. The price was excellent. They came right away when I called them to get a bid. They were not late. They started and finished the job completely before they left.

Terribly. The roof looks great. They ran over two sprinkler heads which they replaced. Dented an aluminum wrapped post which they were asked to fix - their response was "prove it" we did have a picture of their truck parked in the yard next to it. After 6 months and after a heavy rain I noticed water running down my ceiling into the corner of our dining room which caused the drywall to peel. Above the leak was the chimney. The next day I got up on the roof to see if I could find the cause. It was a tear off and replacement and they just shingled over the existing flashing. Rather than call them and deal with a "prove it" response I fixed it myself. I did, however, take many pictures.

In a sentence: These people are completely incompetent at fulfilling the role of General Contractor.
Specific Areas of Deficiency
1. Scheduling. They were supposed to start in mid-June. Then it was 'oh, well, this is running over, I have to be out of town. I need to do this and that." So they didn't start gutting until July 3rd. And I do mean start. They did a partial gut, left a mess, then took several non-holiday week days off. It went down hill from there. Lack of scheduling ability created problem after problem. General contractor did not think ahead, did not attempt to schedule the next phase until a current phase was completed, did not communicate timelines or work expectations with subcontractors, did not order materials in a timely manner. A 10 day project stretched to seven weeks.
A General Contractor's main function is to coordinate the project. Whitrock completely failed to do this. Seven weeks for a simple bathroom remodel is unacceptable.
2. Project Integration. If you hire out for a complete job, you expect that all those working on the job will work together. Not so with Whitrock. Every man for himself on this job. This caused numerous delays because not only did contractors not complete their own tasks in a manner to make the next task possible, they often didn't bother to complete their tasks at all, instead claiming 'not my job, next guy will do it' which of course didn't happen.
A General Contractor should have clearly delineated tasks for all subcontractors and employees. Whitrock completely failed to do this. Subcontractors refusing to finish work, refusing to work together, and refusing to clean up after themselves is unacceptable.
3. Incompetent Subcontractors. So many of the people that worked on this bathroom were lazy, unreliable, and incompetent. The drywall sub never once showed up on time, if he even showed up at all. Took him four days to patch a couple walls. The tile contractor took ten days, fourteen if you count the days he just never bothered to show up. It was at most a four day job, and over the ten days he probably did about two days worth of work. The tile contractor also measured several things wrong, substituted cheap materials in several places, mixed the grout incorrectly, and DAMAGED OR OUTRIGHT STOLE SEVERAL ITEMS FROM OUR GARAGE. The painting contractor was so busy completing work not done by others (repairing drywall, sealing grout, caulking) that the walls and doors only got one coat of paint.
The original plumber left the job before it was completed because it went so beyond schedule. The replacement was a joke that did a terrible job and was creepy to boot. And the people that did the marble were beyond terrible. Measured wrong then made everyone work around them, produced a mediocre product that is not standing up to even light use.
A General Contractor should hire competent employees and subcontractors, people who work with integrity. Whitrock completely failed to do this. Substandard work, substandard products, theft, and wasting time are unacceptable.
4. Lack of Professionalism. There were so many instances of this. Contractor's direct employees not showing up for work. Purchasing of the wrong items then trying to get us to accept the lesser products. Contractor even "forgot" that he needed to pay for the cabinetry up front, forcing us to pay them directly or face another 1-2 week delay in the project.
A General Contractor should conduct himself at all times in a professional manner. Whitrock completely failed to do this. Hiding mistakes, asking the homeowner to 'cover' for your mistakes, and attempting theft by bait and switch are unacceptable.
After further work by us and people we hired to fix the problems created, the bathroom is finally okay. But it took additional money and time beyond what we paid and the already out of bounds seven weeks that this project took over our lives. I would never recommend Whitrock to anyone.

Whitrock was referred to my parents from a family friend who had used them in the past and were pleased with their workmanship and price. My parents are elderly and I reside with my own family out of state so I was not present when they installed the new roof. However, when I visited with them a few months after the work was completed, I had the opportunity to see the finished work product and to meet with some of their employees at their office.
I was very impressed with the quality of the shingle replacement portion of the roof and, upon meeting with them, I found them to be very professional, courteous and helpful in assisting me with all the questions I had. I was also pleased with their price.
I gave Whitrock 'A's' in all categories except for just two which I gave 'B's': 'Overall Experience' and 'Quality'. I had to give them 'B's in these categories for only one reason. Although they did an excellent job with re-shingling the roof and stopping the leaks, my parent's were also in need of replacement of several portions of the rotting wooden eaves that were clearly in view and obviously rotted. One area was in the front of the house and the other was in the back. I was disappointed that these had not been replaced at the same time that the roof was re-shingled but I believe this may not have been part of their contract.
Thanks to Angies List, after I had returned once again to visit with my parents about a month later, I picked three other roofers who, like Whitrock, had also received all 'A's' from their customers. I requested all three of these roofing companies to come to my parents home to allow me to meet with them personally, to explain the services needed, and to obtain estimates. I ultimately picked the roofing company which provided the best estimate for the services I had requested: replacement of both portions of the rotting wooden eaves which had not been replaced earlier, and caulking and repainting of the newly installed eaves. At my request, they also installed new gutters and removed the long defunct satellite dish on the roof.
Although I would have preferred that Whitrock Associates had replaced the rotting wooden eaves to begin with because it would have prevented me from the hassle of finding yet another roofer for my elderly parent's home to complete the needed work, I would still highly recommend them.

There were a lot of people in our neighborhood that used them. They came out and gave us an estimate that we liked. They were wonderful. They made pictures of every step that they did. They were on time, and they did a very good job.
