Well as a single female that knows only how to insert a key into a vehicle and nothing else about repairs on cars, I am super skeptical of auto salesman and technicians. I had already been to Pep Boys last year for a tire rotation when I was informed that my tires were "illegal".. So when I went for an oil change, I asked the guys to check my tires. I was already prepared for the worst case scenario. I had actually already priced around for four new tires. I also need them to check for new break pads. So, when the oil change was complete, I was flabbergasted when they told me that my tires were fine and at fifty percent. They also told me that my break pads were in good shape. I just couldn't get over how the people at the Honda dealership were not trying to "over on me". I loved the way the dealership also has a shuttle car to take the customers back and forth as they wait for the car to be repaired. It is a brand new Honda vehicle. Also, the dealership, is so nice and clean, it is pleasurable time spent. I really trust these guys to my classic Honda Accord and I know as the maker of this awesome car, that they will do it right.

My husband and I had a truck we were trying to get rid of and were looking for a very specific vehicle. We went to 6 different dealerships and the story was the same; they gave us a laughable offer on our trade (5-$7,000 under value) and wouldn't budge off the price of their car.
I found one of the cars I was looking for on Gary Smith Honda's website; it was the Toyota I wanted and it was used, mileage, good starting price, etc. Let me just say that the 7th time was the charm!
Now, let me preface my opinions by saying that I am married to a car-buying master. He is often put to work by other family members and friends to conduct the dealings of car buying because he's so darn good at it. He makes money on what he does with vehicles. It's a gift! :) So, when my husband is impressed and feels like he was treated fairly, I'm impressed.
We dealt with a Mr. Jim Ciambor whose contact number is 850-244-7151. Of all of the companies and salesman we've dealt with (12 vehicles in 10 years) he was the nicest, most professional person we've come across. I took a whole stack of his business cards and intend to give them to anyone looking for a new or used car. He's a real gentleman and was so easy to work with.
The sales manager we dealt with was a Mr. Randy Byrd. He was equally as reasonable and organized. We were so impressed with his thoroughness in explaining everything; even though we showed up 10 minutes before closing time and kept him there 3 hours after closing. He didn't rush us, didn't pressure us, and gave us exactly what we felt was fair on our trade and worked to an extremely reasonable number on the car.
It looks as though Gary Smith has several dealerships there in Fort Walton Beach. There was the Honda one, then a Ford and an Acura that I saw. Usually with that large of a staff and inventory, there tends to be a particularly cocky air that is shown by the staff; they have a lot of territory and a lot of stock so they don't have to be friendly or even reasonable. This was NOT the case with this dealership. Though we live in Panama City Beach, we won't go anywhere else...ever.
Don't waste your time anywhere else!!!! This is coming from a very happy customer and her car-yoda husband's wonderful experience!!

I dropped of my Honda Pilot for routine service to include an oil change, tire rotation and balance, differential fluid change, and general safety inspection. The dealership called suggesting a brake fluid flush and a power steering fluid flush, to which I agreed. Upon picking up the vehicle, I noticed that the oil life indicator hadn't been updated. I drove back the the dealership and the service rep seemed put out that I was asking her to correct the situation. I drove across the road for dinner after leaving the dealership the second time. After getting out of the car, my wife noticed that 2 of the bulbs inside the headlight clusters were burned out (despite having been checked off as "OK" on the safety inspection form. I returned to the dealership a third time and asked to speak with the service manager. After leaving me waiting for 10 minutes, the service manager appeared and, without appology, refused to solve the lightbulb problem (I assume because it was too close to their closing time). As if these issues wren't large enough, we found that the car was out of alignment on the drive home. Long story short: After spending $600 at Gary Smith Honda my car was returned to me out of alignment, with 2 burned out headlight bulbs, and an incomplete oil change. Hondas are great cars, but I won't buy another on until I move somewhere with a better dealership.
