Dan's Tint Shop

He explained tinting choices and suggested which type to use. All work was completed on time within budget. Would use again...

I have used Dan on multiple occasions in the past for my other vehicles through out the years. He was always very helpful and professional. However the last time I used him for my rear window things didn't go well. It turns out that while he was removing the existing window tint he cut the rear window defroster in several places. I explained to him that my rear defrost stopped working. He said to have the car checked by the Mercedes dealer in town. I did so and they pointed out to me the cuts in the defroster. I went back and explained to him the problem and then he made an excuse that the cuts or gaps in the rear defrost were my car antenna. So I went back to the dealership once again and they assured me that the defroster was cut during the replacement of the tint. I then called Dan once again and then he said he told me that this could happen. He NEVER explained that to me prior to working on the window. I essentially paid Dan to ruin my rear defroster. I paid him to break my car. Dan did not stand by his work and refused to rectify the problem. I STRONGLY advise that you look for another company to use for the above-mentioned reasons. I'm greatly disappointed in him and his lack of professionalism.

Excellent experience! He did what he said he could, in the amount of time he said he could. Very nice work. Would do that again if other tinting needs arise for sure.

Overall, the experience with Dan's Tint Shop was excellent. I showed up and he got right to work on my vehicle. He stated it would take him approximately two hours and he finished in a little less than two hours. I am very happy with the job he did. The tint looks very professional and he provided me with a warranty for the work completed. I am very confident after talking to Dan and reading the other reviews on Angie's list that the tint will not crack or bubble.

The only negative thing I can possibly think of has been mentioned here, the lack of a bathroom on site. Fortunately, its only a block to walk if you have to go.

He did a very good job. He was prompt. He kept his appointment when he came out. He provided the estimate when he said he would. He was accurate about the delivery time for the materials. The installation went extremely well. He did a terrific job, and I would highly recommend him. He's relatively unknown, but he did a great job.

Very smooth. We arranged for me to drop the car off and he got right to work and had it done within two hours. Great service!

I must say that I was initially hesitant to have anything done to my brand new car because I have had a bad tint job in the past (in GA). I asked other locals in this area where they have taken their cars and I only heard bad things at other tinting places around this area. Luckily, I saw a couple good reviews online (on insiderpages.com), so I took the chance with Dan's. Dan, the owner, has moved into a bigger building and is no-longer in Jimmy's gun and car audio building anymore. Instead, he now works in the building just past Jimmy's (on the left if you turn onto 4th Street from Eglin Pkwy). When you get past Jimmy's building, you'll see Dan's just down the alley on the left with a big sign over the door. Not the best looking place, but it serves its purpose in keeping overhead expenses down. Dan said that he hass been working in the FWB area since 1993, so he's good enough to stick around, even during hard times like now. He also said that he hasn't invested much in advertising because it is expensive and word of mouth has been working pretty good for him (cause he is good)! But he is an extremely nice and knowledgeable man. He's especially knowledgeable with the stuff that he works with (I verified his answers afterwords just to make sure he was keeping up with the latest stuff). I did not know exactly what I wanted, I only had an idea of what I wanted it to look like. But he explained to me the differences and I definitely love the results!!! I can't even tell that I have the clear bra from most angles plus the window tint (Solar Gard HP Quantum 28 in front and 19 in the rear) looks perfect for my car! Very professional job by a great guy.
