Dr. Efferson is extremely knowledgeable. He takes his time he explains everything to you, they do a great job. They don't try to take advantage of you, they give you your option and let you decide what you gonna do.

He came back to us happy, healthy and clean. It was great. They gave him a bath, clipped his nails and cleaned his ears before we picked him up. He suffers from anxiety but the blanket we sent with him came back in one piece. At home it would have been shredded. So he must have been less anxious which is great!

They are extremely compassionate and very knowledgeable about the small animals at home. They are very focused in making sure that you get the very best care at a price that you are able to handle. In other words for some vets, when you go in, they immediately do very expensive testing and it is going to cost you a thousand dollars. They are very focused on, when you come in and you need serious critical care, you are going to get it- and you are going to get the fancied equipment and the best possible care. But if you come in for may be an infection or a tumor, they treat the infection if you are comfortable with that and see the result-if we don't get the result we want, we move on to serious diagnostic testing and things like that. I appreciate that even though I have medical insurance for my dog and cat. They are very reasonable and practical in their approach. They treat the animals like they were their own pets- I have had them take my cat home with them on a Friday night so that I don't have to take her to an emergency vet center because they cared enough to make sure that she was okay before she came home.

It went great. They boarded my cat for free, all included in the estimate. Her eye is doing great.

It is a veterinarian and boarding center. His wife is Dr. Heather Hartley and they are both veterinarians. We have been dealing with him every since he started, which was about 5 years ago. We are very happy with him. He brought us in and talked to us without charging us a penny, when there was something abnormal in the blood. He is very reasonable, extremely knowledgeable, and he is extremely accessible. He has a section for cats and a section for dogs and the staff is very easy to work with, extremely conscientious and they work very well with the animals.

They are on Angie's List already. They are very awesome. They have a very friendly staff. They follow my directions. I feel okay with the price. Any problem arises, they are very good about contacting me and helping me with the shots. I can get the shots at the hospital. My pet likes them. My dog was very petrified of the boarding place I used to take her before. They don't have cages to put their dogs in and they just let them all roam around. It was very big; but here, they have cages and I take my two dogs there. They let my dogs stay in the same cage, so she is not afraid and that's the kind of stuff that they do. They charge $35 each for dog grooming and it does depend on the cost. The price is fair. Their availability is kind of hard and they are very busy.

We live here about 25% of the time and needed to establish a relationship with a vet in this area (as well as keeping our primary vet at home). They were very responsive to handling this situation for my 3 dogs. My reason for visiting was to have the sutures removed from a surgery performed at home. My dog was handled sweetly and gently and no charge was assessed (although I think a charge for this service would be reasonable). Our records were set up in an efficient and professional.

I take my pets to Companion Animal Hospital and Boarding Center. I have a cat and a dog. Comments: Dr. Hartley is great and unbelievably good. Dr. Epperson and Dr. Rowe are also awesome. They are very good at explaining things. Dr, Hartley is very pet friendly. She truly likes animals. They treat the animals like how we would want them treated; they treat them like they were their pets at home. She talks to them and gets down to their level. She will make them comfortable before she examines them. She has a wonderful service where I can simply go online and order my dogs meds and it will be sent to my house. It is really nice. The office staff is just superb. They know the animals and they remember them. She lets me know upfront what things are going to cost. She is good about giving new options. I took my 13-year-old dog and 1-year-ols cat for exam. She recommended blood work for my dog because the dog was elderly and we need to know what was going on. She gave me choice with the 1-year-old cat. It is good to have a baseline and that it would be $90. She said that it was not something that had to be done then. She is really good about staying in touch. I have to pick up food for my dog that has a kidney problem and is on a special diet. She always asks about him and if he is exercising and if he is okay. She is just very kind and concerned about the pets. She realizes how important they are in a family. She was on a maternity leave when my dog had an episode. We weren't really sure what was going on. She came in and her baby was only about two weeks old. She made it into the office because she was concerned about our dog. We were going to a clinic before where she worked. Then when she moved to this clinic, we left our previous clinic that we had been going for 20 years and moved with her because we liked her so much. She is exceptional.

Riley and Spencer are always happy to see the staff and doctors at Companion Animal Hospital and Boarding Center. Work is done in the professional manner I have come to expect and I respect the personnel for their attention to details. Would recommend to all animal lovers as you will definitely find that animals are LOVED there!

Dr Hartley and Dr Epperson are both very professional and extremely devoted to animal care. If they don't have the answer they GET IT! When my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel "Riley" was having a breathing disorder they took him home with them for a "sleep over" making a bed for him next to theirs so that they could observe firsthand the problems he had breathing at night. They found the problem and have since treated it. I'll never use any other vet!

Dr. Michael Epperson has been our vet for the past five years. He and his wife, Dr. Heather Hartley, took over this practice from Dr. Ashley Green. Dr. Epperson is kind, caring and an excellent vet. He encourages me to research procedures and is very eager to help me understand what is happening with my dogs. In 2008 one of our dogs had surgery at a university veterinary hospital. Dr. Epperson called me every day to check on her and also called the hospital for me when I had concerns. When we lost our dog from complications from the surgery, he and his staff were extremely patient and caring as we searched for answers to what happened. Our newest dog was adopted from a special needs shelter. She had an eye ulcer that we thought was healed. He diagnosed her with glaucoma and was very patient while I researched various treatment options. He helped me evaluate all the options and helped me figure out which one would be best for us, both financially and for our dog. As our senior dog has aged (she is 18 now), Dr. Epperson has educated us on the common problems with elderly dogs. He has helped us keep her active, happy and pain-free. The staff and vet techs are extremely professional and helpful. Call are returned promptly by Dr. Epperson and the staff. If Dr. Epperson is not available, one of the other doctors will return my call. I highly recommend the Companion Animal Hospital.
