We originally contracted for this work on 9/19/09 with a guaranteed completion date of 10/3/09. I paid 1/2 of the agreed upon price up front. We heard nothing from the contaractor for two weeks. After repeated phone calls and faxes (none of which were answered) my wife visited the contractor's office. The office was open but know one was there. A week later, I visited the office. Again, the office was open, but no one was there. I waited for almost two hours until the owner (Jim Anderson) showed up. I expressed my displeasure with his actions and asked for my money back. He stated that he would not give me a refund. I then got him to sign an addendum to the contract that stated he would begin work on 10/19/09 or I would get a full refund. His crew showed up and did part of the work. They stated that they would be back to complete the work on 10/21/09. We did not hear from them again until my wife went to the office and talked with the crew leader, Ms. Eva Davis on 10/23/09. She stated that they would be there that afternoon. No show again. On 10/24/09, my wife went over to the office and expressed to Ms. Davis that the project would be finished this weekend or they would have to deal with our lawyer. They came in after 5 PM on 10/24/09 and finished up that night. As long as you can deal with Ms. Davis, you will probably be OK. She stated that the owner (Mr. Anderson) had a drinking problem and kept all contracts, check book, and any other papers of the company with him at all times. She said he disappeared every week for about three days. She also stated that unless customers talked directly to her, she really didn't know what was going on. If you can deal with Ms. Davis you will probably get a good project. Don't let Mr. Anderson be involved, if possible, when dealing with this company.
