It was hard to reach the actual company. They have a service call station so I called and left a message and then waited for a call back.

We researched it and it was combination of price, timing and being a local. All of those things made us go with them. I thought the price was fair. They put in a unit that was highly rated so that was fine. It’s early in the process but so far, we’ve been satisfied. We went with them so they could do it right away and they followed through on everything they said they’d do. If they wanted to me as a reference, I wouldn’t mind that. The workers are well qualified. I know they finished everything on a timely manner and passed inspection and did what they said they were going to do.

They gave me a very good product. My wife asked them something and they said everything was taken care off. They were sent by Lowe's and they did not get the money from Lowe's. When Lowe's asked them if the customer signed the form, they didn't have it. So they came back for authorization to get paid. Then, when they got done and when the state inspector inspected it, he found a discrepancy and I got a call on it. I didn't find anything wrong, but he said something wrong about the installation.

I would use them good. They were honest, professional and provided great quality.

First, Andrews does not provide free quotes, so the $70 was just a service call fee. They were recommended by a colleague, however, so I scheduled them. They were prompt enough in their response and on the day service was provided. The tech came in and re-set the thermostat in order to start the A/C unit. It did not cool very well, and his deduction was that there must be a leak somewhere that let out the freon. I asked whether he could tell where the leak was, and he said he could try to find it. After checking the system, he said he thought there was a leak in the coil in the air handler closet. He promised to have a quote for me later that day or the next. When I did not receive the quote, I called the office. They advised that the owner would have to come over to look at the system before I could get a quote. That sounded odd to me, but I scheduled that appointment.
After the owner arrived and we discussed the situation, it came out that the owner was normally called out only if someone wants a quote for replacement of the entire system. So there was miscommunication of some sort between the tech and office staff, which resulted in an additional trip to the townhouse for me. Keep in mind I didn't yet own the place!
I received the quote via email, nearly $1000 for replacement of the coil and recharging the freon. Once I had closed on the purchase of the townhouse, I called another company for a second opinion. They did not charge a fee for looking at the system and providing a quote. He checked the system pressure, which was good so he said it was unlikely there was a leak. His diagnosis was that possibly some unknown person had stolen the freon, sort of like stealing copper wire, which happens sometimes because freon is quite expensive anymore. He offered to recharge the freon for $125, and if it turned out there was a leak, I would be able to tell within 2-3 days when the cooling power dropped again as the freon leaked out. If that happened, he would come back, find and repair the leak, and would NOT charge me for replacing the freon. Such a deal!
So I ended up spending $195 between the two companies, and the A/C has worked beautifully ever since, no leak. Needless to say, with the incorrect diagnosis by Andrews (which could have been easily avoided by using the simple pressure gauge that the other company did), I would have paid another $1000 for a coil I did not need. That plus the miscommunication resulting in a second unnecessary appointment, means I am highly unlikely to use or recommend Andrews.

The 2 man crew arrived at time prescribed. They were very friendly and professional. They described exactly how the work was to be accomplished and exactly what we should expect. One technician worked on the outside unit while the other worked on the inside unit. They were very conscientious as to not damage or scrape any inside walls or to soil any carpeting. After a short while, the owner (Jerry) showed up on site to ensure that the technicians knew exactly what was to be accomplished. He also checked with us as to our satisfaction thus far. He, as well as the technicians, were very conscientious in assuring our satisfaction. The completion of the work was finished ahead of their stated schedule. Their clean up was outstanding. We feel it was a beautiful job and the service was excellent.
I have used ANDREWS HEATING and COOLING services on both primary and rental houses for a number of years. They have always provided me with fast and efficient services. I will continue to use them for any heating and cooling situations that may arise at any of my houses.

The installation crew and owner were exteremely professional, neat, courteous and unobstrusive. To the degree that they would remove their heavy work boots before entering the house.
Since the installation, the house stays at one temperature. My unit turns off (something that never happened with the amount of extra ducting done by another company).
This is the second time I have used Andrews. They are the only company I shall use for future AC needs!

The service seems to have gone well. Jerry the owner was very helpful and gave good advice on what type of heating system to use. They listen to their customers.

I think that he is very fair. I called them and a person came out that same day. The service was very good and the person that came out was very informative and he told me something about my thermostat that I didn't know about. I called him at about 9 o' clock in the morning and he came at around 3 o' clock. He said that he would come at 3 o' clock and he was right there. In fact, he called in advance to make sure that I was at home. He is very professional and very responsive.

It went very well. They had a very professional attitude. They gave us an honest opinion when they came out to do it. They weren't trying to up-sell us but instead they were trying to help us out.

The repairman came to complete the semi-annual inspection on my heat pump. The office called to tell me exactly when he would arrive and they were right on target. The repair man was friendly and cheerful. The inspection and adjustments were thorough and efficient.

I have used this company for over 35 years and they are as dependable and honest as it gets. Every repair man I have ever had was able to quickly and professionally fix the problem.

Our renter called with the problem the evening they checked in. We called the repair place and they had someone out the very next morning. Called us with a quote and did the repair same day. All was well.

Extremely well. The repairman was on time, courteous and efficient. He listened to my description of the problem so he found a solution quickly. The repair was finished in 15 minutes and I was just charged for the service call, the part and one fourth of an hour of labor.
