I recently bought a home and saw a termite inspection sticker on the water heater. I called to determine when the last inspection was done and if there had been treatment, since there was no date on the sticker. The listed number turned to be a home number, which then gave me the correct business number in the message. For the business number, a man answered promptly but gruffly saying only "Richard Miles." I introduced myself, explained how I had gotten his information, and, as the new homeowner, what information I was seeking. Without doing any records search, he quickly replied that since I hadn't paid for the report, he could not give me the information in it. I restated that I was the new owner of the home and was trying to determine if the house was covered by a bond or if I should get a new bond. He said that he gave the report to the previous owner, and not to me, therefore it was not my report, and not my information. He then suggested that he could do a new inspection for a fee. At that point, I realized he did not care about his customers, past or present. He was not helpful at all, and if the house had been under a bond with his company, he could be making double money by doing a new inspection/treatment, by withholding information. I do not recommend this business to anyone looking for a termite bond or inspection nor helpful friendly service. He does not seem like a trustworthy person.
