This business has been instructed to remove my name and email from all of their mailing lists. They told me that their advertising is done "off campus", but they would have it stopped. It did stop, for about four months. They are up to their old tricks of bombarding my very small mailbox with their trash, after I have asked them multiple times to stop. They definitely do not keep their word. Be forewarned, do NOT give them your physical address or email address. If only they made their correspondence a lot softer......like Charmin.

Once they get your home address, they continuously bombard your mailbox with literature. At least twice a week they send junk mail. I have asked them to stop sending me junk mail, but they won't stop it. They would not let me test drive a truck on their lot without a salesman riding with me. So, I went to another city to drive a truck without a salesman- and then I bought that truck. It's a horrible place.
2/18/15 - Still receiving junk mail from them. Don't believe anything they say. Beware.
2/25/15 - Such liars! Received junk in the mail from them yesterday and again today. Complained to the BBB about them today also. Don't believe it when they say they have removed your name from their mailing list...........relentless bullies.

Response from Bev Smith Toyota
"Mr (removed member name) has been taken off our internal mailing and solicitation list. We work with several marketing companies and have made every attempt to make sure they have removed Mr. (removed member name) from their mailing list as well."

36 hour wait on service, 4 of those hours in the noisy, dirty waiting area. Crappy coffee. Restrooms not clean.
Had to take a rental car; no charge, just paperwork, and "I'm overworked short staffed" hassle. "Oh, we found this that and the other thing" -- put a major crater in my Christmas fun., financially, and the estimates (2 or three) kept going up. The "service manager" I followed from another dealer no longer worked there (three months) and it was intimated he was not a nice person. The dealer showroom had poor lighting, and the facility seemed worn out. Service bays were apparently full but not staffed 1/1 with mechanics. The mechanic did not look me in the eye; the service facility itself was underused, in my opinion. I felt like I was getting "the business," because I did arrive emergently. "Something was cracked' in the rack/pinion system." "The fluids were filthy, the last service was WHEN???" (6 months, 6000 miles).
Honestly, I do know very little about cars, just that mine suddenly wasn't steering properly. I do attend to regular servicing of the Car. Not a lot of miles 75 K) on it, and I even had it painted 2 years ago. I am a Old Lady with grey hair, bad car guys feast on us, especially at a dealer. I never felt BAD about car service at the other Toyota dealer. It is just a FEELING, but I think I was gouged on this repair. .Me and Car sat there for over 90 minutes before all issues were addressed and alternate transportation arranged. It was dark out and the rest of the customers had left, --- obviously the dealership closing -- by the time I got back on the road in the rental. The exit/rental process was cumbersome and though I was "walked into the rental office" I felt and my "paperwork personally walked over" to it, like I was interrupting the office staff (1 of 3 desks occupied) from other duties, like constant phone ringing.
I waited as I worked ---- I'm a visiting nurse --, trying to plan home visits so as to circle in toward the repair/dealer, and being on alert for a phone call that never came. Returned to Dealer by 445 pm, and did not leave the shop until 6:45. Not a happy experience. I won't go back.
The dealership sales floor had cars other than Toyota; I would have liked to look at the Venza and other models, but they seemed to be featuring a different brand of Japanese Auto.
Makes you wonder.

I bought my 2008 Scion XB new from this dealership. I like the 'tires and batteries for life' program and used it throughout the life of my car without any issues. I've never had any mechanical issues but I have noticed recommendations for things that did not need to be fixed. After I got an oil change they told me my rear breaks are "90% worn" so I decided to make it a weekend project and bought the pads from AutoZone. When I took the wheels off and got into the pads they were barely worn at all. I had to put everything back on and wasted a lot of time looking up how to do it. Most of the services are expensive but considering it is a dealership I know what to expect.

My Toyota was running just fine and all of a sudden the idiot lights went on, but the car ran fine. I dropped the car off and the service dept. told me I needed a new exhaust manifold, catalytic converter. They also said I have an oil leak and the engine needed to be removed to fix. That was kind of funny since I have no oil spots on my white driveway. I told to not fix anything and give me back my car as I new they were ripping me off. Then they wanted me to pay them $70.00 for the estimate which was a lie. I finally got my car back, brought it to Phil's Auto Clinic on US 1 in PSL and they fixed it for $40.00. That is correct $40.00, the on board computer went out of adjustment, they plugged there computer to my car and pushed a couple of button, fixed, $40.00. The car dealers are crooks.

iOverall, the dealership performed well. They do not make appointments for routine maintenance but they took us right in. The NC dealership in Greensboro was a little more up to date with electronic scanning of the vehicle ID, but that was minor. The waiting room was crowded but did have free coffee.

Most of the work done was done under warranty. You still have to pay for installation and balancing though. They get to be very expensive.

They send me coupons and stuff and it came up to $10.00. It's real cheap. They will even rotate the tires. It's a deal where they get to see your car and if they see something wrong with it, they will point it out and make their money that way. You have to take these things with a grain of salt. I have been pretty lucky lately. It's just a typical dealership. It's very professional and clean. They are very nice people. To me it's a typical automobile dealership. They are all about the same. Their price is great because I had a coupon.
