They showed up to template the countertop a day early when I wasn't expecting them and was not home to direct them. The contractor on the job was able to spend 15 minutes on the phone with me and they got it almost right.
The countertop was delivered without the cutout for the cooktop. The sink was cut to the wrong size, even though they had the sink, a template for the sink and the manufacturer's instructions on how the hole should be cut prior to the fabrication.
The edge of the countertop was not polished properly. In some areas, not at all. The installers tried to cover it up with a material that is not approved by Cambria (quartz manufacturer). They argued with me about not wanting to cut the cook top opening and then when they did it, left a complete mess in the surrounding brand new cabinets.
When I complained it took them a week to come and look at the problems. The representative tried to blame the errors on me, even though I showed them the instructions they were provided for cutting the sink opening. She reluctantly agreed to have them come back and re-cut the sink opening. When they did the re-cut, they damaged the sink base cabinet and left it that way. They made no attempt to correct the finish on the countertop edge.
After a month of not getting satisfaction I contacted Cambria to get the issue resolved. They sent a rep to my home who confirmed the work was below standard and then tried to compel American Marble & Granite (AMG) to return and correct the work. I had to have the Cambria rep out twice to get AMG to come and fix the problem.
Finally after more than a month of complaints, manufacture rep visits and urging from my contractor, they came out and re-polished the countertop edge to an acceptable level.
In summary, Cambria is a very good but expensive product and should be fabricated and installed like the manufacturer trains the companies to do in order to be able to sell the product. This company applied coatings that are not approved, failed to properly polish the cut edges, cut the sink opening incorrectly and then argued with me when the problems were so obvious as to be ridiculous.
