HORRIBLE...after 4 weeks had to take my Golden Retriever back for an X-ray to see if his toe was healed. The vet could not make a deciasi9n so she faxed the new X-ray to THEIR referral service that serves as a second opinion...they co tasted her back and said toe was not healed and would need to be amputated. Amputat8ng a dogs toe requires taking part f the dogs underneath pad. I looked at th ver and told her NO WAY!! And I left with my dog. I then took my dog to a orthopedic veterinarian dr. He xrayed his toe and sad it was not completely healed and a break would require 6-8 wks of healing.....so he would need 3-4 more wks. They put a cast on his foot and I 3 weeks I took him back. They xrayed again and it was COMPLETELY healed. I would suggest to NEVER use VCA at this location or any other VCA location...this veterinarian service is owed by MARS candy company...Billion $ business.....not qualified to care for our beloved animals. They make cut backs and then look for ways to make $ at your pets expense. Beware!! I have had another situation at another VCA location. The vet I was using sold out to VCA and that tuned out poor. NO VCA!!

After our CRAPHEAD Regular Vet wanted to make an appointment for a day or so later, when he was called and we told them that the animal was in pain.... After that Moron was told that we were considering Euthanasia to stop the pain our loved Baby was suffering....  They wanted to make an appointment for the next day or so.
I had been reading online about VETS in the SWFL area.... and had seen several people who were happy about the treatment that they and their animal had gotten from VCA Miracle Mile.  We chose to call them as see if they would visit with us and give our baby  a quick check and allow us to ease his pain if necessary.
They were very nice on the phone.... and they told us come right over and they could see us in about an hour.  We headed over.  When we arrived Bailey had become even more unresponsive.  He actually lost control of his bowels while he was in my lap in the  waiting room.  They went and got towels and some water so they could help clean me and Bailey up, while they prepared the treatment room.
We got in the treatment room within moments, put Bailey on the table and the VET was in immediately.  Things were NOT GOOD...  Bailey ( Our Fluffy Puppy) had to be put down.  It is always difficult when you lose a family member, but this one was worse because his regular vet wouldn't even make time for him knowing it was an emergency.  The people there were great... they were SUPER CARING.... they made it bearable. Thank You
There are only TWO little things..
1) Wow it is pricier here than at our home when you need to ease the pain of an animal ( but the fact they CARED offset that).
2) Please do not ask a family that is obviously so distraught if this is what the "WANT" to do. NO it is not what we WANT to do... it is the right thing to do in the situation... but what I wanted to do was go home and play in the pool area with my fluffy puppy.  Just a recommendation... try to find another way to ask that part.
They were so helpful... they made us a "Paw print" of our baby's paw out of clay.  I know it was a small thing- but it was very much appreciated.
I mentioned we have another dog, and I hope whatever Bailey had would not infect Peanut.  The Doctor discusssed the clinical symptoms we saw in Bailey, and determined that it has almost no chance of being a contagious infection so we needn't worry.  Then she said if problems show up with the other dog, bring him in immediately.
They are much further across town than the POSER we had as a veterinarian.... but we are hoping that they might allow us to bring our other dog there for regular care.

Two of the doctors are wonderful. One of the doctors I will not see because he's got an older fashion approach. He uses too much anesthesia with the cat and almost didn't wake up.

Miracle Mile is the vet for our older dog and we have used them for all 7 years of her life. I believe they are often pricier than other vets, and therefore when we got a second dog we selected another vet for him. However, I have never gotten around to switching the older dog to the new vet and despite the higher prices not only do I intend to keep her with Miracle Mile, this year we'll be switching the younger dog to them as well. The reason is that as our first dog gets older I am seeing what value there is in having a vet who is thorough and has his/her eyes on the long term future of your furry (or feathery or scaly) baby.
We took our older dog in for her yearly checkup and Dr. Stokes discovered she had a broken and decaying back tooth. Due to it being the holidays and short on cash we decided to wait a few weeks to have it removed as they'd have to put her under to do it. Dr. Stokes was very understanding of this decision and gave us great and detailed information on how she'd like to proceed and a bunch of antibiotics. My only complaint here is that it was over $60 for the antibiotics we were given (or rather sold) and in the past our other vet has given our other dog a script for Keflex which can be filled at Publix for $4 or maybe even free at this point. However, my husband was there and I was not, so I didn't get a chance to question the vet as to the need for this particular antibiotic and he didn't know to do so.
About 9 days later, our dog had some sort of allergic skin reaction and we brought her back in. They gave her a cortisone shot and some tests and told us to give her Benedryl. That bill less than $150.00, which is pretty good for Miracle Mile.
About 9 more days later, the same dog started limping after running in the yard and we brought her in to Miracle Mile the next day. She saw Dr. Stokes again and was diagnosed with a torn ACL. After X-rays (under light sedation) and blood tests (which had already been recommended at her annual exam due to her age) we walked out of there with a referral for a surgeon and about $750.00 poorer. Thank goodness I had received my Xmas bonus check the day before.
Despite the higher costs, I am glad we've stuck with Miracle Mile because I believe our and quot;daughterand quot; has received thoughtful and comprehensive care from them. A day or two after each of these visits, the vet who saw our dog called us to check on her and to see if we had any questions. After some thought we decided to go with surgery for her ACL (that's a different review) and Dr. Stokes has called to check on her a couple of times both before and after the surgery.
We cannot thank Dr. Stokes enough for her caring and understanding through what has been a stressful few weeks for us with this dog. I've had vets in the past who weren't so understanding of what the owners are going through and I can tell you that bedside (or in this case tableside) manner makes an enormous difference to humans and animal alike. Our vet clinic for our other dog is cheaper and are very friendly and caring as well. However, although we haven't had to go through as much with him medically as our older dog (*knock on wood*), and he is a few years younger, I often walk out of there with the feeling that he just didn't get the level of attention there that he would get at Miracle Mile. The truth of it is probably that I didn't get as much explanation of his current status/condition nor as much vet time as we get at Miracle Mile and to me that is worth the extra cost.

They are friendly, but want to give your dog more shots than necessary. (I was told by another vet that one of the shots that they wanted to give my dog, was only needed, if the dog was going to be in the wilderness hunting wild animals?) They make you feel guilty and sign a release form, if you don't get your dog a flu shot?

I took my two dogs in for an annual checkup. We saw Dr. Wilson and I was very happy with him. He took time explaining things to me and I felt his genuine concern for the animals. My only complaint was the cost. When I went to check out, there was major sticker shock. I espected to pay $250-$300. There were charges for two blood tests for each dog which added an additional $100 per dog. In their defense, I did not specifically ask what was included in the annual visit. (These were not done at my previous vet unless requested). Apparently the blood was drawn outside the exam room because if I had seen someone getting ready to take a blood draw, I would have questioned what it was for and refused the test. The staff was professional, and facilities clean. I will probably use them again but will be sure to ask about all charges up front. I think since we were new to their office, someone should have done that in the first place.

They were really good. The whole time, he was in there with him. They were excellent vets. Our dog has allergies and they were able to take care of him.

Dr. Wilson examined my pets in 2008 and I was very pleased with him. However, this year another vet (a female, I don't recall her name) checked out my pets. I didn't appreciate the pressure from the front desk staff, vet assistant and vet to purchase high-priced blood tests for my pets. I explained that I was recently laid-off and couldn't afford them. The vet continued to make me feel guilty for not getting the tests (which were not needed to diagnose an issue, just used to assess the general health of the pet). The vet also made me feel guilty for how I was treating a condition that my cat had, even though I had discussed the issue and treatment with Dr. Wilson the year before. At check-out, the front desk staff seemed very stressed and were not particularly pleasant. Overall, I'm very disappointed with my recent visit and will be looking for another vet to take my pets to next year.

He is very polite and punctual. However, his knowledge is lacking due to the fact that his 1st diagnoses of my dog's problem was incorrect. However, with the second test he correctly diagnosed the problem. The price reflects the medicine for the treatment as well.

I really like that Vet. I am glad I picked them off of Angie's List. Their prices are reasonable. They also do price matching. They were very caring, nice, and informative. The best thing is that they call you the following day to make sure everything is okay.

This animal clinic was the best priced place as I had shopped around to many different places. They were also very accommodating, professional and helpful. I was very pleased with the efficiency of getting me in and out of the clinic with my dog.
