My husband brought the chair in for a quote and when I brought the same chair in, Laurie quoted a different price. I did add the cost of  some casters to the repair but that still didn't make up for the price difference. I was told the job would take 3 weeks and it turned out to be 3 months. I called several times and was told that they were very busy. When the chair was finally completed, they called us to pick it up. My husband was shocked at the unprofessional work. There was residue and chucks of glue everywhere along the brass tacks, deep scratched on the wood trim and the leather welting cords are uneven. We refused to accept the work and they attempted to fix it twice but it still looks horrible. I would NEVER return to Top Stitch or recommend their services for anything. I wish I could post a picture on Angie's List to verify this poor and unacceptable work!

The price was amazing. She took my cushions and reupholstered them! She did the job and finished them in 3 days. She was $400 less than another company we were going to use.

I visited their shop and got an cost estimate of the labor charge for the work. My wife visited the shop and picked up some sample material swatches. She selected the material and we were given a quote for the entire job. A formal quotation was provided to us and we placed the order and gave them a deposit which covered the cost of the material.

A short time later they said the material had arrived and they would pick up the chair on a certain date. They came on time and took the chair. About 2 weeks later they said the recliner was done. They made the delivery and we paid the balance of the quote. There were no surprises or extra charges and the pick up & delivery charges were included even though the quote did not list those items.  They followed all but one requirement of ours but we like the alternative they provided and we accepted the recliner.

The owner and his helper were polite careful and were very pleasant.

All in all I would recommend Top Stich Upholstery without any reservation.

I had two quotes, and Top Stich was quite a  lot lower, so I was concerned about the result.  I did get one good reference fro a marina, so I went a head.  The crew showed up on time, assessed the situation, and ot it done.  They disassembled panels in the compartment, scraped off old deteriorated foam, lined panels and surfaces with new foam and carpet material (they called it hull liner) and finished off all details.  It looks better than new !

The boat was taken to their yard for a template to be cut (and the original awning piece was provided as well). It was taken back a week later for the new awning to be fitted and installed. The second time the boat was used after the new awning was in place the zippers ripped out of the new canvas. The canvas was returned to the company and they had to make a new one which took a few days. When we collected it, and tried to attach it to the boat we found the pull for one of the zippers was missing. We had to return the canvas again. When it came back this time the pull had been added but we discovered that the two halves of the zipper were different sizes so it could not be joined. Back again. This time a new zipper was sewn in but when we went to attach it to the boat, the awning is really too small and does not fully close. Also the stitching does not seem strong enough and is already pulling out of the canvas. The new canvas is not as strong as the old one and even after all these returns it still is too small.
