Terminix - Ft Myers -Termite & Pest Control

I had pest control with Terminix for many years and decided to try them for a Rodent problem in my house . They showed up , got paid and it was impossible to get them to return . They made a shoddy attempt at sealing off my house and therefore the Rats were still able to enter my house . Unfortunately , I did not know what the exact procedure was to be , but they never set enough traps and never inspected the other attics . They never returned to fill the rat traps with fresh bait . All they really did was set Bait stations on the outside of the house and came a few times to check those with no report to me .I called the manager multiple times to request follow up inspections and or a visit and never got a response. I attempted to call the Corporate office but the Staff is told to not give out any correct contact numbers so all you get is a machine which no one returns your call. It is over a year later and I have a new company but unfortunately I still have one rat . I believe if they had done a better job of sealing off my house the rats could have not re entered .As, my new Company showed me all the areas that Terminix missed when they were sealing off my house. Also , on the fist visit the very young inexperienced man entered my Feces covered and urine soiled ATTIC with no mask or Gloves which is required to clean this type of soiling . When I asked him if he wanted a pair of gloves he said , No I don't need one. He rushed to finish the job and I had to ask him to show me what he was doing. Then he proceeded to call his manager and ask me to give them a good review when it hadn't even been tested. They are incompetent , overpriced, and lazy . I would not recommend them as it cost me $1200 for nothing and I was left vulnerable to more RAT entry . I wish we could do more to keep large corporations from ripping off people. The current company I work with has to come to inspect the traps 1-2 times per week and refill all the traps and refill the outside Bait stations. He also explained the process of how we would need to proceed , in terms of trap rotation and rotating the Bait for the Rat. He also confirmed there were too many entry points that were NOT SEALED off by Terminix .

The sales manager was unbelievable, he kept calling me honey and baby in front of my teenage daughter. I will not put what she thought of him and his unprofessional behavior. Terminix had sent me a letter with a 100% money back guarantee. DO NOT BELIEVE THIS. My credit card investigated ALL the problems and said they would give me the money back. The office manager, Charlie is HORRIBLE. I have called their corporate office multiple times and they refer it back to the Ft. Myers office. Now since my credit card returned my money for the HORRIBLE tenting that the people from Miami did IN THE DARK. Their reviews on here from years okay were good and that is how they have a B. Their current ones look at all the F's, and for good reason. I feel their 100% guarantee is a fraud as they will not honor it.

Our condo association had been paying Terminix for many years for a termite bond. Renewal due in June. Terminix sent an invoice to property management company 3 months early. Unfortunately management company paid. Terminix then sent a tech to inspect our condos. He spent about 5 minutes and only entered one of our three buildings. Told Terminix we were cancelling the service. We were already paid through June so asked for refund of the early payment. Terminix says no, they have already inspected the building. A 5 minute inspection cost us $1890!! We are done with them!

Not well on rodent control,  continually missed present  & new  entrance points, did not bait  and /or follow up on bait stations and ck regular, and often did not follow thru on  handling problems. when called in.  Work was ok on insect control contract.

We were happy with it. They did what they were supposed to do. A number of years ago, we had termites and Terminix exterminated them. Now, we've got a contract for them to just do an annual check. That's all they do now, for the last number of years. They have not determined that we've had termites again. We have a rather large property to check. So, it's not a small home. We've had the same service person for several years and he does try to be accommodating. I think the cost for the annual check is a little high. But, we don't really have a choice on that. We don't shop around for prices. It's just a continuation of a program that we're kind of locked into. We've been using them for 18 years. I would tell somebody to shop around for the price versus service. Scheduling is not always at our convenience. It's more at their convenience. They give you a window of time like from 10 to 12, instead of just saying, "We'll be there at a certain time." I understand many service people use that window.

It went 100%. They are very good. They let you know when they are coming several days ahead. You do not have to be home. They do basically the outside and if otherwise if requested and then they come inside. They are always on time and they are just good. I have the same person come out and I have him on a regular basis and they are very dependable. If you have a problem, all you have to do is call in between. I would happily recommend them.

When we first moved to Florida, we had used another company and Terminix bought them out. We have been with them ever since which is now for about five years. The previous company used to spray inside and outside on every visit. Terminix only sprays the exterior and they say that would be efficient. That works for the most part. Every so often, some bugs do get inside. When we call them, they are responsive and come back out at no cost and even treat the interior. When we have been here for the treatment, the same technician, Vince, has always come. He is professional and nice. I did have one issue about four years ago. We had them come out and talk with us about termites. They really did not have a program of any kind that appealed to me and I went with someone else. Terminix has overall been good.
