Sliding Door Doctors

It's a miracle! The Sliding Door Doctor made the lanai sliding door better than new and added handles. I can now open the heavy sliding glass doors with one finger!! The replaced the roller wheels and added a 'c' shaped cap to the runner so the roller wheels easily glide. So nice when you hire a vendor that is an amazing expert. I called the Lee county office and they were great. To add handles ($15. each) with install.

Before they arrived we could not even open our sliders they were impossible to move. They were ontime and very professional. They did such a great job we had to put a sign up on the door warning people to open slowly. Now we can open our door with one finger.

My sliding door is 19 years old and the rollers had never been replaced. The door was very noisy and hard to slide and I really should have had them replaced a couple of years earlier but I just kept putting it off. I use the door several times a day to let my dog out and I finally reached my breaking point. Called The Sliding Door Doctors and talked to Jack. He would have been able to schedule me for the repair within a couple of days but at my request it was scheduled for the following week.
- Mark and Robert arrived for the appointment 10 minutes early which was great for me and it only took them 25 minutes to complete the entire job. They were very friendly and did a thorough clean-up befor they left.
- They replaced the old rollers with nylon precision bearing rollers ($99.00) which are unbelievably quiet and all I have to do now is start the door rolling with one finger and it opens and closes on its own from there. It's been 3 weeks now and I'm still amazed every time I use the door. An added benifit is the rollers are actually made in the USA which I am very pleased with and they come with a 1 year warranty.
- I also had them install a J-Lock ($15.00) on the door to replace the old lock that I had at the bottom of the door. This new lock is located at eye level and so much easier to use then the old lock that I've found myself using it every time I come back inside which wasn't true with the old lock because of the inconvience of using it. The J-Lock prevents either door from sliding and/or being lifted out of their tracks which is just what you want a lock to do.
I found this company on Angies List and I got a second bid from another and quot;Aand quot; Rated company on Angies List and The Sliding Door Doctors were the least expensive of the two and I'm very happy with my decision to use them. I strongly encourage you to use them if your looking for someone to repair your sliding door.

The servicemen were ahead of scheduled time, courteous and did a great job fixing the doors. The rollers were replaced and the tracks were cleaned to the point, they look new. The price to repair the doors was very reasonable. I would use this company again without hesitation.

They reported on time - repaired the door in about 40 minutes - and - installed the door adjusted it and I paid them by check.

Our sliding door to the outside was a real struggle to open or close. My husband and I took the door off and tried to clean, adjust, even did the WD40 bit on it ...no luck. Took off the door changed out the wheels with much better ones and made the door slide like butter! My husband wanted our second door to have the same smoothness.....no problem...Done!
