"The above review of the events are not correct. What happened on this job included many changes in layouts and materials. Materials take time to come in. The homeowners delayed the job by not being in town. This homeowner was aware of the items they were adding to the job and that there would be a change order. The amount of the project did change based on those changes. We ordered and installed his selected products in good faith. When the bill came to be paid, this homeowner refused to pay for the additional work and materials which were now in his home. Instead he threatened to launch a damaging campaing on social media in order to ruin our reputation if we charged him. We are a small family owned business. Serving SWFL for 18 years. "Your review of the facts of you review are not correct. Considering you are complaining about the project mangaement of your job is strange as you were the project manager. Your hired your own sub contractors throughout the job. Your are correct in saying the the hurricane did extend the lenght of time on many jobs for many reasons. The many many changes you made during the job also added time to your job. I apogolize that you feel that we took too long. Your remodel is absolutly beautiful and we hope you enjoy your new kitchen for many years."
"It is amazing the damage a person can do to a company with the internet. My husband and I have built this business over the last 18 years with our own blood sweat and tears. We have been successful in completing homeowners projects and having them refer us to their friends and family. The last few years have been challenging with covid, supply chain issues and now a hurricane. But we all strive to do the best that we can. John went over and above for you. When he returns from the holidays I will go over your issues with him. But from what I can see from the paperwork. He made your schedule and kept you on schedule. He ordered all your materials right away and was physically on your job site regularly. John has over 30 years of experience and works very hard for his clients. I understand you have an issue with the shower door. I understand he has been working on fixing that issue with the manufacturers. The shower door was templated and ordered as per plans. I offered to remove the shower door and credit you for the shower door, so you could source your own shower door. Which YOU did not accept. AT this point, I will have John write a final invoice crediting you on the shower door of 1326.00 and any additional charges you may have. I find it very sad and hurtful that you found the need to try to ruin the Christmas Holiday for John and myself by posting such a terrible and damaging review on Christmas. I would also like to address the comment you made about me being rude by not returning your call because I assumed you were trying to solicit my business banking. That is in fact true. You mentioned to John several times that you wanted to meet with me regarding my business banking. You came into the showroom and asked the receptionist to speak with me when asked what it was regarding you would not tell her you left your card and a brochure. So what was I supposed to think? Your Project came out amazing and is absolutely beautiful. We are proud to show the pictures as an example of our work."

At first I communicated with emails because I like documentation. No email was ever responded to. Phone calls had time delays up to more than 24 hours. Texting seemed to work but with delays. During the project, I stopped in the office to communicate some concerns. I learned our project manager was on a 4 day cruise. Someone in the office wrote down my concerns but no one in management or anyone else responded. I had to wait until our project manager returned from the cruise. All the workmen, installers, plumbers etc. arrived on time. CThe workmen who did all the installation were courteous and cleaned up after themselves. We took the precautions of covering our furniture with plastic when the kitchen counters were installed. There was a significant about of ?quartz dust? from the drilling of the holes for the faucets.
We purchased all the faucets for bathroom sinks, kitchen sink, the kitchen sink, water filtration faucet and garbage disposal independently from the company. The two new bathroom sinks were purchased from the company. The company staff were polite.
The lack of prompt communication, the lack of attention to installation details are the reasons I would not hire the company again.

Approximately 3-4 weeks later he said the cabinet was ready to pick up and the price was $450.00! My husband picked it up and the top was plain white and it did not have any handles to open the doors. Within a week, the formica was coming off the front of the top and he took it back to his shop and fixed that. Still no handles. Within the past two months, we went to his shop and asked for handles three times, just to be ignored. As to date, $450.00 for one fairly small, plain cabinet with NO HANDLES. Really?
"First contact was through my father who asked me for a cabinet for his neighbors laundry room. I never went to the house. Price quoted was $380.00. Was asked to include a countertop which brought price to $450.00. Client was told that the top would have to be white. This was all agreed upon in a written contract. At this time the cabinet went into production. The cabinet and top were picked up at our showroom. The cabinet and top were in perfect condition when they left the showroom with the client. It appears the top was damaged in transit by the client as there was a chip out of one of the corners. In good faith, Royal Palm agreed to repair the top at no cost to the client. While I was visiting my father I checked on the cabinet. The client asked for some hardware for the doors. The contract says nothing about hardware being included. Once again in good faith I have mailed the client two handles. The cabinet cost is exactly what the written contract states and was agreed upon by both parties. In defense of my own character and the integrity of Royal Palm, we have treated this client honestly, fairly and with respect."
