Project went really well for all aspects directly controlled by Rice. Rice employees were very knowledgeable, professional and exceedingly neat! The only challenge we experienced involved the stucco finishing which they used a subcontractor to complete. The subcontractor ended up coming out 3 times to get the smooth finish consistent with the rest of our house. Rice did a good job of holding sub accountable, but still created about a 10 day delay in getting the project completed. But at the end of the day, our lanai looks amazing and the quality of the work is superb! Absolutely recommend Rice with no hesitations!

We first contacted Rice Contracting Enterprises around the middle of November 2014 regarding our need for a front entry door and sidelights to be replaced.
After numerous emails & phone calls back and forth, Philip Rice finally came up with a solution to our problem. We had just purchased and house which to all intents and purposes, didn't have standard doors/sidelights, but Phil managed to find us a door, to the specs we wanted, complete with one sidelight as opposed to 2 which was initially installed, and they manufactured a panel to fit between the door and the sidelight to give us exactly what we wanted.
Because of our situation, we could only give them access to the house on a Saturday, which they very kindly did. Installation began 1/3/15. John, the installer and his helper, (can't remember his name) did a fantastic job. Pulling out the existing door/sidelights, having a threshold made and shaped to fit our doorway opening. He finished the job on Saturday, January 10, 2014. again because we couldn't give him access before then and  we are thoroughly delighted with the result.
Rice Contracting is a very professional and courteous company and I highly recommend them. If the need arises, we will definitely use them again.

Rice Construction representatives were standard setting from the moment of first contact. Rita personally helped arrange for broken glass to be replaced at our business office. Her helpful spirit was expressed from the initial telephone call. Within a couple of hours Rene arrived on site, promptly and professionally making the repair. The glass was matched perfectly to  existing glass. As this experience was such a success, we then asked if they could make repairs to windows at home that were not opening. Rita made the appointment to suit our work schedule. Rene arrived on time and, as in the first contact, made repairs to allow is to open two very heavy windows once again. This is an excellent business, with great customer service and real craftsmen providing the service.

I interviewed and received quotes from several companies and Rice's price was the first thing that set them apart from their competition. The materials arrived right on schedule from the manufacturer, PGT, and due to the date of my order I was able to receive free "E" coating on all the windows as well. They called me to set up an appointment and they completed the job in less than a week. I  am thrilled with the finish product! Such a nicer look, plus they reduce the noise level inside the home, they're more energy efficient and I don't have to put up any shutters. Not to mention it is a great selling point if I went to sell my home.

Excellent!  We called for a quote and had the work done 2 days later.  Wayne, the installer, was punctual and particular about the quality of his work.   He removed the old screen and took it away.  Lovely product.  This company was the most reasonably priced and got us an appointment 2 days after our initial call. Great experience, no hesitation in recommending this company.  Already referred to neighbors.

Mike Condon came to meet with us, show samples.  While he was here I mentioned that I would like to rescreen my pool cage/lanai screen.  The job became bigger than originally planned.  We bought a new front door, two new doors on our lanai, installed two retractable screens and replaced all screens in our screened lanai.
Jim Good was the principal installer of the screens, retractable screens and front door.  His experience is obvious and to our advantage he is extremely detail oriiented and did a superb job.  I would highly recommend this company and especially Jim Good.

It was great and they were a good company. The installer was a young fellow and he came and measured the door. He did a marvelous job of installation and did a super job of clean up afterwards. They were prompt, professional and did an excellent clean up.

Home Specialties was able to install the door the day after being contacted. Kyle was very professional in the installation and clean up. He made sure that my wife and I were comfortable in the door's operation and made additional adjustments to make it's operation easier.
